Did you wind up taking that dress from the forties? So rare to see those. They were easy to find in the seventies (for a quarter!). My wife wore lots of them. They were rayon, black background with floral patterns, peplums, a ruffle. Sometimes she would take in the waist or the belt or the hem with a stapler! Carefree days…

I wish I had. But it was so damaged. Lots of water damage and fabric wear that was beyond anything I could salvage 😭 I could not even imagine! Finding those good of dresses for a quarter! Wow. I’ve only come across a handful in my time. Thank you for sharing! Love that she used a stapler 😊

My mother suffered for 40 years with terrible migraine headaches. She would be out for five days in a dark room and then she found this Doctor Who did a scan of her head and her sinus cavities and found out that they were all impacted. She had her sinus cavities cleared out and never had another migraine again.
