This video is amazing. Thank you for sharing. Shows how much patience, perseverance and consistency play a huge role in training your dog successfully. It’s not a 5-minute process but a daily routine, even a few times daily.

I’m amazed that the dog training mimics horse training in a sense… steps… just take the STEPS 💜🙌🙌👏👏

Thanks for your comment! I totally agree that dog training can be very similar to working with a horse. Both require breaking down tasks into small, manageable steps and using positive reinforcement to help our animals learn and succeed. It's always great to see the connections between different forms of training. :)

Hey Nate, I just want to let you know that I am a research nut haha, No matter who I watch and what the issues are, you are by far my favorite! I was wondering if you are doing those online courses I believe you said you are working on, anytime soon and what it takes to become a part of that!

Thanks! I'm currently working on a dog training curriculum for professional dog trainers, but I still have a lot of work to do on it, so I don't know when it'll be ready. I'll be sure to announce it, though. :)

Thanks for that great step by step training video. It clearly shows how important patience is and what a great positive effect has a subdevision into "mini- steps." Also very helpful to mention that different approaches to the problem are sometimes necessary. Thanks a lot.😊🐾

Starting as a puppy playing a game with their tug and let them win and carry their tug past a house that has a barking dog when confidence is high = fast recovery. If a dog is scared to come out of a crate that's really bad. It means he has had worse experiences with the handler than I thought was possible. Should be all games outside of the crate, build engagement and bond and then he can retreat when needed. Luring will only go so far. ( try in a safe enviroment because it's all we can control it looks like he was put on a lead and cranked to the point he didn't want to leave his safe space)

I’m definitely trying this to get my dog to jump into my truck. ❤ I’ve always “boosted” her but she’s 60 lbs now and time for her to jump in herself 😂
@michelewood925 Жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t you put him the crate with a leash on a regular collar. Then he can just jump out. Or not use crates. I don’t use them but my dog is fine to go in one when needed.
