The GI tract is fundamental to human health and wellness. As the saying goes - “All disease begins and ends in the gut”. So then, why do so many doctors fail to address the issue of gut damaging mediation use? The gastrointestinal (GI) tract is a pathway that begins in the mouth, through the esophagus, small and large intestines, and ends with evacuation at the rectum. Food is processed through these organs as nutrients are absorbed to nourish the body. The gut’s role doesn’t stop there. Remember that an estimated 70-80% of the immune system is housed in the GI tract. This immune function is vital to our health because it helps protect us from disease causing agents, the development of food allergies, and helps to ensure that we eliminate toxins from the body.
Join us LIVE on Tuesday night at 6PM Central as we take a deep dive into gut health in part 3 of this series!

All of this hits home for my husband and I. Together, we have most of these issues from years of not considering nutrition and fully trusting the medical community. Thank you so much for speaking truth to the world and not holding back. This will be an amazing series, and eye opening. God bless you abundantly Dr O!

My doctors (current and past) have always been skeptical about testing vitamins and minerals. I've had to basically twist their arms and I give them a full explanation why I want each and every one (and all valid reasons as I do my research, and of course more knowledgeable thanks to people like you). The current PA is more lenient, however I've gotten the lecture that "if it's fine we won't retest it." As if it couldn't be deficient at some point in the future but whatever. lol They also think when they are at the very bottom of the crappy lab ranges that I must be fine. My B6 is quite low, but she thought it was fineeeeeeeeeeeee. I'm like no it's not given my symptoms so I'm going to supplement. She seems fine with me doing that though, I guess if it gets me off her back. I do like her much better than my last doc and PA though. Those people did not care about my health at all and only wanted to deal pills.

Checking the levels of vitamins and minerals in the blood, especially if they are coming from supplements, does not ensure they are actually doing their job. They can be in the blood and even build up too high without actually functioning where they are needed.

So true drug review is always left behind, I feel this area is neglected. There is a lack of holistic approach to find out the underlying issues. This presentation is so refreshing and informative Thank you Dr Osborne,Hope you and family are well.❤

Where can we find the medical studies to take to our doctor and help to educate them as well?

You can Google whatever topic you are interested in. Some studies are public information, some you have to have a subscription or pay for access.

It is not easy to culture many disease causing agents, so I disagree that this is the only way to ensure the antibiotics are necessary.

This is new for me after menopause. Bloating it gets worse as the day goes by. Have lost weight . Blood work is good. How do you get rid of bloat? So I can eat more and gain weight. Was 112 now 97. Not good. Doctors just want to give me drugs…. No way……I have read everything on menopause bloat but nothing seems to help. I think carbs are not good.
