There are tons of fears about painting that many artists face: what if I can't fix my mistakes, what if it doesn't turn out as I imagined, or how do I get over the fear of starting something new? In this vlog I'll be answering many of your art related questions in a little Q+A while I paint three oil paintings from pictures I took in London! Watercolour mistakes can be fixed with a water or dry brush wash or a magic eraser. It isn’t more difficult. Also using the “mistake art” to learn and to better understanding of the next painting is part of the process. There is no wrong. There is no mistakes, only learning and relearning. Art is a process, and you are the process. Doing for fun and for play, not for outcomes and content. Create to be. Create to express. Don’t create to fill your feed. It isn’t food, and you wouldn’t want to eat a pile of garbage junk food over a small healthy meal that fuels your cells and mind space. Trust your flow. Accept the mistakes are actually perfection in motion. ❤

Also all mediums have their own weaknesses or challenges and strengths ; there is no better medium. Just personal preference. I would have said oil is trickier because it’s such a mess and doesn’t come out. Connect with yourself and then you will know what medium to practise. Key word practise.
