Although Nattawut didn't get the victory he fought Tawanchai to a razor close decision. Much of that is based of his ability to not fall victim to Tawanchai's left roundhouse kick.

I thought Smokin Jo had it in the bag honestly, but expected this decision. How Muay Thai judges are judging a fight is a complete mystery to me though. Wouldn't call it a robbery because I could see a draw too.

Very good, I was impressed he became more unfazed as the rounds were going. Good job from both of them thus being very close, but Tawanchai has great advantage with body kicks in scoring.

Jo absolutely won this fight. The judges are crazy for giving Tawanchai the win. Even Tawanchai knew Jo won, that’s why he looked disappointed even though they gave him the win

This is yet another great fight between the 2. Superbon and petchmorkat also had good fights against tawanchai. I think thats good though for tawanchai. Still younger and competing with the best.

If you counter a kick from a block with the arms and your punches don’t wobble/ effect the person it won’t score and the kick will that’s why he lost

Jo did really well, but I had Tawanchai winning 1,2 and 5. The last round Tawanchai was pressuring forward and he is the current world champion. A challenger should do a bit more and not move backwards. So slight edge to Tawanchai (and I like both fighters).

When I watched it live I thought it could have gone either way, now I'm not so sure, I think Jo might have clearly won it. Although you do have to remember Thais usually ignore the 1st and 2nd rounds cuz of gambling in the big stadiums, but ONE doesn't so the crowd probably thought it was a bigger robbery than it really was.

Body kick score higher than low kicks so no he didn’t neutralise the exchange but defending and attacking could be what does but that block isn’t classed as a block in Muay Thai so probably not I’ll have to ask my coach

This fight was a robbery in my opinion because in the last three rounds of the fight Jo Nattawut absolutely dominated and shut down Tawanchai's ability to throw the left round kick. At the end of the fight Tawanchai looked very beat up especially in his eye Gabriel but a very useful breakdown! 🥊🎉

Tawanchai is overhyped. He's a beast but ONE is running propaganda like he's not edging out close decisions over guys past their prime. Jo should've won the first fight and arguably this one too. Tawanchai's a great fighter but it's super annoying when a fighter is given decision wins because of their marketability or star power

Btw, Nattawut reads Nat-ta-woot (ณัฐวุฒิ) not Nat-ta-wat (ณัฐวัฒน์). and Tawanchai reads Ta-wan-chai (ตะวันฉาย) not Ta-wan-chai (ถวัลย์ชัย). Note: Copy the texts in Thai to google translation, then you will hear the differences. Surprisingly, the incorrect pronunciation are also valid Thai names, but you should not call anyone James when his name is Jake just because they sound a bit similar. Chatri and One's ring announcers also call their names wrong, but Thais don't.
