Loved this video, any chance you could do more of these videos for sword and for the each of the weapons? I like how you approach the game from the eyes of a new player and give choices for what a beginner would choose and explain why it's a good or bad choice. Very helpful for new players, especially now the game has released on console.

1. Free items and Lore rooms- some lore rooms give free cash and health, which may help you in biomes overall and leave you with more money. 2. HotK (Hand of the King)- Hand of the King gets difficult and hard to ignore as the game progresses, making players having to learn how the boss works. Fortunately, the next update will have mob and boss training rooms so you can have it out all you like! 3. Getting hit less. Game is not so punishing in terms of damage in lower BCs, however, once you are 2BC+, you can't afford to get hit all the time as health flasks become precious. 4. Shops- Don't purchase items early game unless absolutely necessary, as you will money later down the run. Off-colour items are ok early game and get the job done. woww, wish i watched this sooner. ive been playing for a long time and have won plenty of times, so knew a lot of the boon/duo/etc stuff, but didnt know about the attack pattern, in fact i usually avoid dash strikes bc im bad at it and find it hard to control... but gotta start practicing somewhere ig!

On the butterfly fight I would add to what he said that the minotaur fight is learnable and is patterned while the butterfly miniboss is a dps check as he said. Once I learned what boons worked well butterfly turned ez, but at first I prefered fighting minotaur since he also adds more to the combat learning curve.

For mouse and keyboard I put my dashes on shift to make them easier to do with an attack, but there are other options as well. Spacebar is a nonstarter.

you should be able to unlock aspects after unlocking all weapons

You unlock almost all the aspects when you get the last weapon. If you want aspects sooner then go for keys

KZbin takes FOREVER to process new videos, particularly massive videos like high-quality recordings of games. I.e. I uploaded a Hades kill recently (just the kill, not the rest of the run) and it took TWO DAYS for it to be available in HD. Considering this vid was uploaded less than an hour ago, I Imagine the HD version won't be available for at least a little while.

In trials, does it matter which God you take first if you want specific boons? Does it affect rarity of anything? Otherwise, certain trials are pretty free. Athena's trial is pretty free, most others aren't that hard. The ones to avoid imo are Aphrodite and Poseidon.

Noob question again…why is beam not good. I sort of love it as a cast, but haven’t beaten the game above heat 4 either. I like the slower reds to kill or dash out.

Ask all the questions you like! Crystal Beam denies you the damage bonus from Boiling Blood from the mirror and unless you get the Crystal Clarity duo boon, it's not gonna do a whole lot.

I've been trying to make the crystal Beam build work using Demeter, Artemis , posoidon and Zeus. It feels like you just need too many boons to make the build actually work. I am probably not doing it right
