This gameplay trailer takes place at a branch location of Secure Capital Bank somewhere in the bowels of New York City. We follow Dallas, Chains, Wolf and Hoxton as they don their masks and show the world that nowhere is safe enough from the Payday Gang.

But they lost everyone's trust and now need to re-earn it which is sad considering how much they genuinely love this franchise and it's fans. I personally blame Starbreeze who see dollar signs instead of a great game but Overkill isn't innocent. But in the end I do think and hope it gets the same outcome that CS2 is having rn. Rushed game gets hated but over time becomes fun and gets back support.

This looks super fun. I love the detail where the cops were hiding behind the shield on the rooftop as they were being shot at. The Cloaker wall running, the Dozer charging, the AI *actually* looks like they were significantly improved. I also appreciate how the gameplay in general looks a little more weighty and realistic, but still has a little bit of that goofiness of Payday 2. I remember hearing the first Payday was more… “realistic” in a certain way, and I would love to play this and feel like I’m playing the video game version of Heat. As fun as Payday 2 was, it did feel a little too arcadey sometimes, even if I played literally nothing but it on the Xbox when I dropped 20 bucks on it for like a week straight. More than anything though, I hope you guys take your time. I would hate if the AI would have to be sacrificed after a little bit to keep a consistent flow of maps going, instead of making these super consistent, memorable, and replayable maps you can play for hours on hours and still have fun with. Game looks like a blast, if the beginning of the beta or the follow up trailers look really good, I might even break my personal rule and preorder it.

Actually having them use that shield for cover during a dynamic fight that you can’t really script or control in any way outside of what abilities you give the player is way different than spawning them. Though yeah, it does look cool, and also a lot more natural. Spawns in general seem *WAY* better now as well.

It looks so much more fast paced and intense. Payday 2 already had some good movement in it, but this is an entire new level. Plus, the effects from UE4 (and possibly UE5 down the road) make the game look even more insane. Payday 2 was one of my favorite games of all time, and I hope 3 will be too!

I put 2,000+ hours into Payday 2 back on Xbox One from 2017-2021. In my Freshman and Sophomore years heists with my friends was all I looked forward to going through my day. I don't game as much anymore, too busy after graduation. But the second Payday 3 is available to pre-order, you best believe I'll be right on it. So hyped to see the continuation of my favorite series ever.

I really hope they improved the stealth as well, trying to run payday 2 quiet was some of the most fun as a group. It always kept the whole operation unique and tactical instead of just another run and gun game

Knowing how fun, amazing and full of content there is in PAYDAY games, I'm sure I won't be disappointed. There is for sure going to be bugs, but that's to be expected with every new games. Can't wait to try it for myself!

Yeah! A thing about bugs though... Some games are forced to release early because of a deadline and that is what happened to games like Battlefield 2042, Cyberpunk 2077, and fallout 76. But this game is probably going to be great, with most bugs patched/fixed. :)
