If I had to guess, without the tent, maybe 500 pounds at most.

Hey Mark, did you have the crossbars fabricated, or were you able to find a pre-made set up? I just bought an old truck bed, and can’t find any crossbars that’ll fit correctly, thinking of taking it to a fab shop to have them make some for me! Thanks “!!

Hey, good question. I built these cross bars myself. I there are a few companies that make universal kits that would work with some minor adjustments. But it shouldn’t cost you to much to have one built either. I built that one in about 2 hours one evening.

What size tire can you fit under the trailer without rubbing? 🙂

A 31 without any modification.

Hey bud, I have an old Datsun truck bed trailer I was considering doing the same thing to, are you happy with the size of that trailer or would you in hindsight have chosen a different platform to start with?

Great question. Honestly the only problem I have with this trailer is that for me its a tad to long. When I do another project trailer it will be shorter. Besides that, everything else about the Datsun is great. I love the tie downs and how light the bed is.

Awesome video, I would look at the leaf springs you may need to add a leaf, or maybe a bigger lift block
