I took my grandson out there a few years ago after rock hunting and he caught some bass, fabulous night sky. Good Times

Just a tip... when driving in terrain that has volcanic rock, it's always better to air down to about half of your highway tire pressure. This will not only help smooth out the rough road, saving wear and tear on your rig (and your back) but it also makes your tires flex more so they will be less prone to puncture. Think about it... its easier to pop a full balloon than it is to pop a half full balloon because the balloon has more stretch and give. Your tires are the same way.
