After living in Thailand for 2 solid years, back in 2011 to 2013 I've made a second home there at heart. Did 1 year traveling Koh Samui, Krabbe island, Bangkok, visiting Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia and spending the second full last year in Northern Chiang Mai. I was there purely for Muay Thai while I was an assistance instructor in a travel program based as a modernized American ninjutsu. I trained with a Thai champ who was 7 years undefeated, in Chiang Mai the last 6 months before leaving and he told me.. "Take our way with you and make your own way" He knew how fond I am of their culture and Muay Thai tradition but didn't want me limiting my learning and exploration of self and other things in life. They never forget your face in Thailand and most dont spar heavy, it is considered rude and immature. You'll become an impudent brat to them. I didn't like having the coconut slamming my core during crunches, or doing power round kicks until my bones feel like they are bleeding, battering my shin on a heavy bag for nearly 2 hours, took 1 hour each leg, about 500 kicks each side. Beautiful people. Land of smiles

Ok but who asked
@AverageGabriel3 жыл бұрын
@@_dylansaeed Do you see any asking? It's called expressing feelings and sharing travel experiences for people who perhaps haven't been but want to go to Thailand. Also the importance of sharing culture to help others refrain from common ignorant mistakes around a respectful culture. Get over yourself man.

Death is giving me a grin this year. I'm showing signs of stage 2 heart failure and noticed I have a regular heart skip issue, took it up with my doctor and now getting a heart score CT corinary test done to see what's going on inside. Me electrical levels are ok though. But I also need a cholesterol lab done. This whole year I've been losing weight, unable to do as much physically and not sleeping or eating much anymore.

Most of them are from poor families. They use Muay Thai to escape. But the future of Muay Thai is not guaranteed. Other countries are very smart. Muay Thay stunned them when it was introduced to the world. It showed brutality in the ring. Just because they mainly trained to earn money, not a sport. They don't have much safety, insurance. They fight to death in Thailand to survive. But now, when fighting in international stage, it has to follow rules of a sport. Other countries have been studied it, now, many Muay Thai fighters start to be beaten.
