On the eve of D-Day, American paratroopers drop behind enemy lines to penetrate the walls of a fortified church and destroy a radio transmitter. As the soldiers approach their target, they soon begin to realize that there's more going on in the Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation. @@whenyougodown228 I was gonna say there MG42's but you are correct. There is also something wrong with the rate of fire of the MG34 the US soldier is using. It is to slow. The German firing the MG34 seems to have a normal rate of fire. I am not an expert. So I could be wrong. I think that it would not be so easy to find MG34's at that stage of the war. They where still used for the machine gunner on a tank. You could not do the barrel change like with the MG42 if you are on the inside of a tank. They should try using the FG42 in WW movies. It is a super cool weapon used by German paratroopers in WW2.

If he stopped, he would have still died, if he continued to drive forward, he would have died as well, and essential blowing up the whole entrance with the explosives with him The only way he could have been possibly saved was stopping and having his allies remove the rope and then suddenly running away, and as for the Grenade in his mouth, they could have ripped the tape off, take the Grenade away from his mouth and Yeet it away

@Mike Goldsberry US grenades of the time have a "spoon" on the side of the grenade (looking at pictures it's the handle along the side) that holds the striker in a cocked position. When you pull the pin you are essentially removing the safety as the grenade needs to be released for the spoon to open and allow the striker to hit the primer that sets off the fuse. Stuffed in his mouth there is no way for the spoon to open.

The grenade misdirected attention and physically stopped him from saying anything since it was so crammed it wouldn't explode since the pins just keep the boom boom apparatus handle in place also if it's quality tape, on quality skin (Aryan joke) id imagine it'd come out from the force requireed Just speculation here but if you heat the surface prior to applying the tape or the tape itself it becomes much more adhesive. It doesn't take much maybe savvy army men could do that in a real scenario

It's less about the war crimes, more about the hypocrisy. The Germans are always shown as the bad guys in Hollywood because they "did war crimes". But then the same Hollywood movies show the Americans also committing war crimes and it's like "yeah that's fine, they're the good guys". I love how every german soldiers just go all out without any cover, sees someone up above that hill, still shoots “without cover” then proceeds to. They’re probably not trained well, It’s like some rookies were sent to war without any proper training. And can’t even shoot two people while having a sniper, machine gun a tank and an army.

At the same time, there were also some veterans with six years of experience. This movie wasn't prioritizing that level of historical accuracy.

Yeah war is ugly. But its good to be aware of the tricks they are capable of. But its much better to fear God who can protect you, guide you, provide, for you, blind the enemy, launch counter attacks, send in angels, create safety, creat barriers between you and the enemy, blind your enemy, give you the victories, create miracles, bring peace, cause confusion to your enemy, blind your enemy to your presence, cause them to fall weak, cause you to have strength, and much much more.....
