Just FYI, if Ainz tells any inhabitant of Nazarick to cover their ears, of course they can actually hear them (covering ears doesnt do much) but any inhabitant of Nazarick will disregard anything he says. They will literally force themselves to not pay attention and forget anything that was said. That is the loyalty of Nazarick.

ains weakness is his friends. just mentioning them makes ains emotional than logical. what hekkeran's mistake during his bluff was referring to him as Ains. cuz Ains isnt really his name, its Momonga. it was Arche's body they divided up and Entoma got her voice. the rest of Foresight is still alive but thats not really a good thing for them its not really all that bad in Nazarick. the three elves lives a happy life serving the Dark Elf twins. Hamsuke became warrior Hamsuke. Tuare working comfortably as maid tho she has no friends cuz most NPCs hate humans. and the Lizardpeople live in prosperity, never worried about food shortage anymore

Fun fact: In the scene where it appears that Ainz is teleporting behind the Foresight members 5:43, he is actually utilizing a different technique. He casts a time stop spell, causing time to freeze, and calmly walks up to them. Then, for dramatic effect, he releases the spell and went in to strike Imina with strikes touch of undeath. This sequence is clearly depicted in the Light Novel version but was omitted in the anime adaptation. The rest of the scene largely plays out the same. After defeating them, Ainz explains his actions to the priest (which the audience already had described to them in as it happened), revealing that he had stopped time and nonchalantly discusses it. The priest Robertdyke begins to freak out even more, as he's shocked to discover someone who possesses the ability to stop time and surprised by Ainz's blase attitude about the whole thing. Following this, t h Ainz informs the priest that he will manipulate his memories and beliefs to test the impact on the priest's holy magic. And the rest of this scene plays out the same.

The collars are an exp boosting item, he wants to see if he can gain new levels and abilities in areas he didnt have before. and if you noticed the lizardmen in the last episode and in an earlier episode also had them on, it was also said that the Death Knight also had one. Aura has a right to be afraid of the 'Large Hole'. Gashokukochuuou is one of the Five Worst (the 5 most disgusting NPCs in Nazarick). The group isn't given much prominence in the anime due to largely being background characters that only passing mentions or short stories, until they have a relevant scene of importance. The group cocnists of: 1. Gashokukochuuou - The Worst Appearance: Gashokukochuuou is considered one of the Five Worst NPCs in Nazarick. This living colony of parasitic insectoids possesses a repulsive appearance, and It is speculated that they may share a hive mind. They reside In the "Large Hole/Cave" area, which is located on the 6th Floor (which is overseen by Aura & Mare; the Amphitheater, the night sky ceiling, and large forest are located here too). Gashokukochuuou plans to keep Hekkeran and Imina alive as living nests for their colony, serving as a breeding ground and a potential source of nourishment. 2. Neuronist Painkill - Worst Occupation: Neuronist Painkill is an overweight, hideous monster with a giant octopus head. She adorns herself with excessive makeup and dresses provocatively like a dominatrix. Believing herself to be more beautiful than Shalltear and Albedo, she has the title of Chief Torturer. Neuronist Painkill takes pleasure in inflicting extreme pain and conducts sadistic experiments on her victims. As we saw in the previous episode, she just tested her latest torture device, which simulates the repeated agony of passing a kidney stone. 3. Kyouhukou - Worst Residence: Kyouhukou is a giant cockroach wearing a regal cape and crown. As an area Guardian of the "Black Capsule" on the 2nd Floor of Nazarick overseen by Shalltear, he commands millions of cannibalistic cockroach offspring. Unfortunate individuals teleported into his room are subjected to being eaten from the inside out, repeatedly healing and then being consumed again, in an unending cycle-which was the fact of Gringham (the short knight guy) and his party Heavy Smasher. Kyouhukou gained the reputation as the worst neighbor due to the fear of cockroaches shared by many of the 41 Supreme Beings. 4. Unknown - Worst Ero: An NPC described as a tentacle monster, this character has not been officially introduced in the series. Therefore, not much is known about their specific abilities or role within Nazarick. 5. Chacmool - Worst Personality: Although briefly mentioned in a canon drama CD and featured in other media, Chacmool has yet to be formally introduced in the light novel. As the Worst Personality among the Five Worst NPCs, their specific traits and characteristics remain unknown.

The emotion dampening has it's limits. For example, if the emotion is weak enough then it wont activate. In this particular case Ainz's rage was so overwhelmingly powerful that the emotion dampening just didn’t work until his rant was over and his rage became weak enough for it to work properly.

in the original Webnovel Version of Overlord the Arche was turned into Shaltear's Sex Slave and Ainz saved both of her sisters by chance, but the fans hated that idea and was remade in the Light Novel to what we see in the Anime, and both the Sisters got sold off as slaves and died

It wasn't that fans hated it. Maruyama originally intended to kill off Arche in the Web Novel, however he like having fan poll on certain for the sake of audience engagement. So held a fan pill on the fate of Arche, giving several options. They choose the joke option of turning her into a Sex Slave. So, according to Maruyama himself, when he wrote the Light Novel he choose the ending he originally intended for the character.

I always viewed the sentence "Death is a mercy in nazarick" as a jab not only to the adventurers, but also to the watchers/readers. In the original WN arche lived and it angered the author so much that he basically made arche in to shalltears slave. It angered the author because "Cute girls shouldn't get to live just because they are cute."

⁠ I really love this anime for how uniquely dark it is. There’s no plot armor protecting any of the fragile humans against the monsters of Nazerick. They are stronger and in the real world, strength is everything. I actually wanted that girl to live when I first watched but to make that happen would have ruined the story for me. There was no way to survive and they even let us know how her body parts were rationed. This is by far my favorite anime because it reminds me that all we are nothing more than fragile humans despite all the power we chase and claim to have .

Although his emotions were almost immediately suppressed, a mild feeling of pleasantness still lingered like ripples spreading across water. “¡Lord Ainz!” Ainz smiled to Albedo, who had put on a troubled expression-although his facial expression did not change-and gave the following reply. “My bad, my bad. Ah, ahem. That was amusing ¿okay? Very well then, in that case, I will allow you to take command of your little sister.” “¿Is that fine?” “Not a problem. Go ahead and make your team. They don't show it, but literally all of Nazarik was present for the duel in the novel. It's supposed to be a colleseum several times the size of the Roman one and was absolutely filled with every minion and guardian etc Ainz could bring, including a dcent portion of his stronger base undead army, though nowhere near all of it. (It's also stated around this time that he has created so many death knights that he's physically running out of room to store them, some of us nerds who've been around since it was just a webnovel estimate he has an army of MILLIONS of level 35 warriors, of which about 1% of the human population can even defeat in the first place in a 1v1 lmao)

Season 3 was really interesting to me, mainly cause of the reaction of the anime onlys at the time. While the series hadn't tried to hide that the Nazarick denizens were straight up not good people, a lot of fans still had it in their minds that Ains at least was the good guy and even when he made questionable choices , the few naturally good characters like Sebas could keep him on the straight and narrow. Granted, this impression probably mainly existed cause a lot of what happens in Season 1 and 2 had Ains and co either going up against equally bad people or Ains minimising the damage that *could* have happened if the NPCs had been left to their own devices. But Season 3, especially this episode, was the moment where it became clear to anime onlys that Ains and Nazarick as a whole are the *villains* of the story. Sure, Ains is still keeping Nazarick in check, but his humanity at this point is so repressed that he's become pretty cold blooded to anyone not from Nazarick, as is displayed here. And the show got a suprising amount of pushback for it, which was kind of funny since ,again, even the anime ,despite how much it cut for brevity, makes it pretty clear that Nazarick is a den of literal and metaphorical monsters.

A fun fact I haven’t seen anybody mention yet is that ainz here was actually hoping of proving a point by letting them talk to eachother freely. Normally ainz in character would just kill them all instantly but he really was pissed at them for treading into his friends creation so thought if he let them talk to eachother and let them think that one of them could get away, because he assumed since they’re thieves they’d be tearing eachother to pieces to escape, so he even opened up the exit for them as they were deciding one of them to escaped. Ainz was legitimately impressed when her friends didn’t fall for his bait though and instead held true to their friendship. If hekkeran hadn’t brought up Ainz’s guildmates there, Ainz might have been impressed enough to forgive at least one of them because it really sent him down a nostalgia tunnel

Arche's party is quite lucky... sadly their leader made the wrong negotiation tactics.. they could have gotten out of there alive if they played the negotiation correctly. they were practically given +1 more chance of getting out there alive facing Ains and albedo, Aura, Shaltear as observants. I would like to belive Ains will give leniency towards them if they kowtowed and ask for forgivenss for entering the tomb they could prob become a tool to Nazarick for the outside world

touch of undeath is a cqc skill that lets the user chose between several effects depending on the situation. ranging from inducing fear over paralysis to instant death. its similar to aura of despair but a close range version.

I didn't see anyone else comment thus, but those two sisters get it BAD. Their parents go further into debt and they end up selling the girls in "the workforce," i.e. taking Tuare's old job. I believe after a while, they both die of "overworking."

Something the light novel did a better job at than the anime is they show workers in a less heroic perspective, here most of them just all seem like good people just grave digging for money. In the novel workers are like the adventurers guild rejects for being too violent or hard to control, they are on the carriage ride to Nazarick when they start talking about what they’d do if the tomb had any residents who just moved into it out of homelessness, they’re talking about how they’d have to kill anybody ANYBODY they see inside of there whether they’re innocent or not in order to take the treasure and prevent it from leaking that they were in the enemy nation. They’re basically just a bunch of grey murderous thieves who happen to get along well

COMMENTARY EPISODE 8 S3 PART 1 THE ANIME Hello friends, what a sad episode! ¿It is not true? We can only say that Hekeran was very unlucky. Perhaps Ainz could have forgiven them, but the Worker was so desperate to save the lives of his team that he chose the worst possible lie. The poor guy was improvising as he went and had no idea that Ainz had changed his name from Momonga, which is what his friends would call him if they had actually met Hekeran. So we saw Ainz completely lose control for the first time and if his emotional suppression hadn't calmed him down... However, the novel makes it very clear that there was another person who was quite angry, perhaps more than Ainz. I mean of course Albedo. The Novel describes it as follows from Hekeran's perspective, when he is still lying, that he doesn't know who the Overseer of the Guardians is. [When he turned to look at the last person, goosebumps broke out all over Hekkeran’s body. The beauty behind them was still smiling. But she radiated a murderous intent that beaded Hekkeran’s brow with sweat.] Yes, Albedo was incredibly furious and perhaps that moment when she saw Ainz go crazy with anger was the straw that broke the camel's back. Because as I already told you, Albedo is the only NPC who doesn't want the other "Supreme Beings" to come back and she wants Ainz to be the sole ruler of Nazarick forever. Perhaps it was at this point that she decided that Ainz's friends were not only a nuisance, but also a weakness, perhaps the only weakness, of her much-loved master. The rest happened as you saw. The only thing to mention is that the first ability Ainz used, Undead's Touch, was never executed because the fight ended too quickly. It was supposed to drain the life energy of whoever is touched, but since she used a paralysis charm, it really didn't make sense anymore. Now, about the final fate of the Workers. Surely many wanted Arche to at least be saved, but there was no way. You see, in the Web Novel, which is a kind of draft of Overlord, the author Maruyama asked the readers if they wanted Arche to be saved, in a similar way to what happened with Jason Tood (The second Robin), and all they voted for her to live. So, Maruyama saved her character and turned into a kind of sex slave for Shalltaer Bloodfallen, until finally Arche teaches Ainz some useful things (How to dance a behave in high society), and then the Overlord lets her live quietly on the fourth floor with her sisters. But it was evident that Maruyama wanted to go the dark route of everyone having a terrible end, so in the Official Novel his wish was fulfilled. It's important to remember that Maruyama loves contradictory plots, so for every Tsuare that is miraculously saved, there is an Arche that suffers a terrible fate. In fact, the author himself even mentioned in a blog that little sisters end up being sold into slavery by their damn parents and work themselves to death, something that wasn't really necessary, but within his conception of plot balance it is. I personally don't like this part and I wish Arche would live, but this is Maruyama's work and I think the right thing to do is to respect his creative desire. Many good stories are being ruined these days because executives take too much into account the humor of the people instead of letting the artist make the art of it. (I'm talking about you, Darth Disney, Prime and Netflix). So, the priest will serve for Ainz to experiment with his memory and thanks to that the Overlord will acquire a great ability controlling memories, although poor Roderick will end up in a vegetative state. Himina and Hakeran were sent with Gashokukochuuou, an Area Guardian that we don't know much about, but he lives in a place called the Dark Hole. The name Gashokukochuuou is Japanese for the Sparganosis disease, which is caused by larvae, so it is possible that it is a parasitic creature, probably an insectoid. Arche died painlessly, but her body ended up in various places and her voice has now been taken over by Entoma. However, in this episode there must have been an important scene that was left out and all the Overlord fans were very angry about it. So, I have decided to describe it using fragments from the novel. This occurs in the throne room, just before Entoma enters the room and Ainz is talking to Albedo about how well the traps against the Workers turned out. But since the comment would be too long if I include both things, I will have to divide it into 2 parts. So... This story will continue in the second part.

this little arc has the worst outcome for all the humans involved with the invasion. the 2 little sisters get sold into slavery by their parents for cash. the team leader and his elfe girlfirend become living hosts for maggots where they are eaten alive and healed feel all the pain but cant moove and have to watch each other suffer. the monk/priest got his momorie manipulated to see if it matters who the god is he worships to use holy magic or if it could be anything so they manipulated his brain so many times for fun that he is forever lost. the last girl became a sexslave for the vampire girl and turned into one of her "brides"

Bit of context - Entoma in the end actually took Imina's (the half-elf woman) vocal cords using one of her bugs which is why she has such a nice voice now. When she's listing who got which part they were talking about Imina.
