Oooohhh.... are we experimenting with some handheld footage my friend 👏🏻 Nice touch in my opinion. The visual and different scenes on the way up... just breath taking. So nice to see how the landscape change when you get a little bit of snow. 03:15 really nice to see the headlamp sparke in the snow like that 🔥 I need to experiment more with dark footage with headlamp. It makes such a huge impact on the footage. And the ENDING shoot 👏🏻 Holy crap, that was amazing 👏🏻 I really enjoy this masterclasses in composition and visual story telling. Thank you so much for being such a huge inspiration 🏅

Haha, yes. I've done some handheld work in the past, but the image stabilization is so stable that it comes off as tripod shots. 😄 And yes, I agree, shooting in blue hour just after sunset is somewhat underrated. With an extra light source it can look quite magical. Thank you for the kind words and encouragement! It's really appreciated 🙏🏻

Great video!! May I ask how to get such beautiful star burst in the blue hour time?I mean if I use small aperture for catching star burst, will it become too dark for other things? Thanks

Hi there! Great question. It's actually that specific lens that creates that effect. As you said, smaller apertures is usually what's needed to create star bursts like that, but for some reason it seems like the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 lens produces a similar looking star burst for bright light sources in low light (even when using f/4). I recently purchased as Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 lens and it did not have the same effect, so I'm pretty sure it's the lens. Not sure if it's because of the blade design, coatings or something else.

@@hsuchenhan7857 Hi there! Doing great, thanks! Just got in from an overnight hike. I've looked at your video and I must say I'm quite impressed! Great compositions and I noticed that you've put a lot of effort in the sound design. What I liked best however was the flow of the edit. The interplay between the nature sounds and the voice over in combination with the changing scenes is just brilliant. Great work!
