OVERRATED DRUMMERS: a quick list

The whole reason I’m watching this video is because I just heard Billy Corgan say Tommy lee was a great drummer. If I had to name one overrated drummer he would be the first name to come to mind. I put him and Stephen Adler (G’n’R) in the same category because I’ve never heard such bad drumming played on the radio, I just can’t believe it’s on the radio!

It’s funny when people say Ringo is overrated. If you are a rock drummer, you quote him. Even if you don’t like the Beatles. He helped write the vocabulary you use.

I put him in the less-is-more category. Whenever I hear the drums just going off and killing it on Beatles records I wonder if it was actually Bernard Perdie, who claims to have been paid to play on American versions of Beatles records.

You're right! Tommy Lee and Lars are totally overrated! Phil Rudd is AC/DC's best drummer, but he just gets the job done!

Good list..I’ve always hated Lars. When I listen to his playing it just screams to me a guy who forced himself to play drums so he could be in a band but no natural god given ability or rhythm, his sound sucks too.
