If you come from a Middle class family in Sri Lanka and moved to Australia in your 30s its really hard to make Australian friends. Culture is some what shocking and to make things worst if you live in the same neighbourhoods its harder to intergrate. Mental health issues due to lack of friends are real. Then you realise money cannot buy happiness. Also the food you eat. If you eat processing food instead of freshly cooked and from scratch foods you will get sick faster.

This is my first time watching your KZbin channel, and it was purely by accident-but your points about Sri Lankans living outside Sri Lanka are spot on. I've been living in the US for over 25 years, and the number of Sri Lankan families I socialize with is fewer than five mainly because of the points addressed in your channel. Sadly, many Sri Lankans here live exactly as they did back in Sri Lanka, trying to impose the same culture, beliefs, and behaviors on their children who were born and raised in these countries. The result? These kids often end up confused, like zombies, struggling with the contradictions between their parents' behavior at home versus their behavior outside. Additionally, these children feel alienated at school and find it difficult to form friendships outside of the Sri Lankan community. In my view, these kids are the true victims of such parenting styles. Many Sri Lankan families seem to live in their own bubbles, crafting fake lives that, when confronted with reality, sometimes lead to catastrophic outcomes.

Ethnicity VS Cultural & Integration VS Diversity are crucial points in this problem, as you correctly point out. If someone comes to a foreign country for the sole reason of money/ wealth & luxuries alone, it's a sure way to lose mental halth. Certainly it requires a certain talent/ intelligence to adapt/adjust to a foreign culture, introvert characteristics with no social understanding & language barrier make it very difficult. Specifically when high end/ above normal religious views clash with the human centered freedom prominent cultures severe mental isolation/ depression is the immediate result, continued suffering of it means a "visa" for uneasy thoughts, physical ailments....

I too believe multiculturalism is a toffee. Another advantage of multiculturalism is how efficient they work in capitalist system. Getting into a new culture is a difficult thing to do.
