If you're worried about an outdoor light like that coming on, how about finishing masking it with the clear plastic you use on windows? Then the light sensor won't turn the light on. Also, it would be good to take a photo of the light before you disturb its aim, so you can put it back like you found it. I know the outdoor lights at my house were annoying to adjust just right, and to work properly, were not aimed like you might expect.

I did that one time to a ring light, then the damn thing caught the paper on fire. Luckily I was right there spraying the garage door. And immediately put the fire out.

I like to use 3mm plastic over a quick masking. I find that sprayed paint always finds a way through the first layer, even if it is hardly noticeable. But yes, i like the easy removal, i try to keep it simple as well.

What paint do you recommend for exterior metal ?

I have a stucco house and the soffits, and gutters don’t need to painted. What is the best way to paint around them so if I used a paint sprayer they don’t get over spray, should I brush, roll, mask? No videos I can find that cover this? Thank you!!

Grab plastic shopping bags for any fixture. Bag it, secure with some tape. Easy to remove and basically free.
