EVEN when you’re the one that ended the relationship, heartbreak is still a MAD TING 😩😩 Whew. Chile. I read something about taking 21 dry days. Love is a drug & when you get out of a relationship you’re like a druggie looking for a hit. So taking 3 weeks off, like an actual addict, no stalking , no calls, no emails - that shit helps. Day 22 is SO much easier, from my own lived experience. :) I also believe in being alone for a good amount of time after a break up. Getting to re-know yourself after this relationship, loving on yourself, making yourself your own best friend again. I think it’s so important to be comfortable in that. BUT I also get how difficult it is, and there’s no shame in doing whatever you need to feel better, even if that means getting into another relationship that you’re not “ready” for. And closure is more about time than about words. All the questions you want answers to won’t matter if you stick it out. :)

I have recently been going through a wild breakup. I did not block my person on any social media platform. Because, like y'all have just said, there's always an avenue to communicate. LinkedIn, Skype, Twitter et al. What worked for me, is I trained myself to not initiate conversations with him. To do enough solo travels. Without forgetting that I vented about this situation to my friends. Venting helps with letting go of the heart break, lets off some steam. I honestly thank God for my friends who would stay up late listening to me crying and venting. If you read this girls, I love you. Am also on a dating break. I think it is well deserved for me. Am taking time to just love my space. Plus your advice is timely....thanks to ALL of you girls.

So much truth in what y'all are saying. I went through the same cycles and dealt with them almost the same way all of you dealt with them; and I'm a guy. Block & delete. Thrive in your singlehood. Get rid of the pain progressively and don't try to numb it. Find a close community of friends and family to guide you through every stage. Probably what you left out is the journey of forgiveness- both of self (if at all you regret anything) and of the other party. You let go of a lot of negative energy when you forgive and embrace the 'scars'. From that, it has reached a point where I'm so grown and content in myself to the point that I sometimes wonder whether I'll ever disrupt that sense of peace with another relationship. Am I lonely sometimes? Yes. Am I fearful? Maybe. But there's just this innate pleasure of growing in yourself which is so fulfilling that makes it somewhat hard to try and get into another relationship for the fear of losing that peace. I guess we'll have to see what the future holds. That said, this really is an amazing video. :)

@raywira73385 жыл бұрын
Personally, I just disappear, reevaluate the relationship, what worked, what didn't. Take my lessons and then I throw it all out, everything! By the time I'm resurfacing, I have amnesia and if I needed to delete shit like pics or conversations, it is like you never even existed 😀😀 I believe in living in the moment, so holding on to the past whether good or bad, just holds me back. Plus, I think about it in a "I almost drowned a couple of times whilst learning to swim, I don't remember how it felt to almost drown when I get into water, yet I learned to swim, and I also stopped counting for when to breath because after I learned, it comes naturally" Anyhu, y'all do dope videos! Would love to be "studio audience" 😂😂😂😂 (not a good idea though) Cause I am super crazy lol, would have totally jumped in on that heartbreak feeling debate... Plus, I would keep interrupting with questions. But y'all doing a great job. I love your vids! Y'all real, human, raw and super relatable.

Yenyewe heartbreak is painful... When i remember the times my heart was so broken, in the middle of that pain and tears, I remember just praying and asking God to help me get out of that state. But keeping my distance, blocking even if just temporary, not responding to their messages and generally just allowing myself to grieve. And after all that nothing , nobody could ever tell me to go back to that person.
