My layout has 4 main lines and several sidings. These lines also have blocks, like a conventional layout. This wire your show going to the Cab 3 Base where does it go to on my layout. Thanks; Gary from Michigan Note: I do not run Legacy. I do run: MTH DCS, Lionel Cab 1 & Lionel Chief Plus & 2.0. Universal Remote and LC App on an iPhone.

I see a PDI connector on the Base3. Does that mean we no longer need that weird serial-DB9-to-LCS/PDI cable with power brick in order to power our LCS modules?

Well I got my Lionel Base 3 back today after being repaired for almost a month. They told me that wires were disconnected which is why the radio wasn't connecting properly and they said they fixed it. I'm still not able to hook it up via WPS it did connect via the aps but it still crashes. I'm sending this piece of junk back. I'm done with Lionel's base 3. Holy crap what a waste of a month of time and aggravation trying to enjoy what it's supposed to be a wonderful Hobby. They really know how to put a sour taste in your mouth. I just canceled over $2,500 worth of pre- orders that would require me to use the base 3 to unleash all the features in the new electronics since I don't have a #990. I'm sorry for the dealers they had to take a hit on the pre-orders but they can blame Lionel for releasing such a poor product.
