I have a 2016 GLI with the cts turbo upgrade as well looks like we have the similar mods. IE intake, arm motorsports charge pipes, unitronic intercooler, gfb upgraded diverter valve, cts turbo back exhaust, and stage 2 bfi trans/motor/dog bone mounts. Running h&r sport springs, koni shocks and Whiteline front a rear sway bars. I had a cts intake before and switch to the IE and the inlet on the IE is like 5" and that made a big difference on the lag of the turbo. Good tires and these things will make challengers, chargers,stangs and Camaros think twice. Stage 3 all day

Hell yeah man, love to hear it! I got some questions for you, did you notice a big difference from the dogbone insert or mount, i got 034 metal inserts just havent installed yet. Also how do you like your suspension setup, thats what i want to do next im just really not sure what path to go down, im thinking just springs but unsure. Hey quick question how’s your wheel hop? Maybes it’s just a fwd thing but I was even thinking motor mounts lol but my motor mounts don’t count my engine doesn’t move it looks fine

My bfi stage 1 motor and transmission mounts helped drastically reduce wheel hop, i still get some but when i was stock mounts on stage 3 it was crazy, the engine would move like crazy aswell. I felt as if i could feel the engine moving in the cabin. they fixed that mostly aswell. keep in mind upgraded mounts will provide more NVH (noise vibration harshness) mostly at idle i notice it. Ive heard a dogbone insert will reduce wheel hop aswell, i have 034 inserts i will be installing come warmer weather, i can make a video about it.

Did the soft limiter when revving at a standstill come off with the stg3 software?

Correct! Idk if theres a cap at all now but i usually don’t rev it past 5k if that.

Hey man I got a few questions for you. How does it do under normal driving with that turbo? Do you think it’s worth the money? My main concern with the uni stage 3 set up is that it will feel lazy driving around normally.

TBH you’re kinda right, driving like a regular person in regular automatic mode it is a bit lazy, you really have to mash the pedal to accelerate the littlest bit. Which is why i drive in “manual” mode pretty much all the time. In manual mode i have 0 issues with it feeling anything but amazing. Is it worth it? If you have the funds 100%. I would recommend funds or not to buy stuff used, it really doesn’t make a big difference i don’t think and you save so much money. I bought new, if i could change anything i woulda bought stuff used.

@@Hoagi appreciate the response! My car is manual so I have to drive in manual mode anyway lol. I wish I could find one used I’m in at least 5 different Jetta Facebook groups and none for sale unfortunately. I think I’ll probably order it I’m ready to get rid of the stock turbo.

@@ian8184 You got it bro, if you dont have the boltons already those are easier to find used. The turbo is definitely harder. You’re probably in it but check out projectgen3gli lots of useful info there.

@@Hoagi yeah I’m already uni stage 2 with an intercooler and other stuff. I’m also in that facebook group it’s honestly the only good place for info on this platform. I really wasn’t trying to get roasted for asking about the cts turbo in there lol.

Theyre the hawk talon rotors and pads, not “big” but an upgrade
