I hope you enjoyed this video. I’m annoyed with our cats-they were awful. Also I forgot to mention that the Empress Tomahawk’s spike is curved for catch and drag, and as long as you avoid over-the-shoulder wind-ups or carelessness with your live hand, this curved spike greatly reduces your risk of self-injury compared to sharp tipped straight spikes. The amount of curvature on our Empress Tomahawks (and Backripper Tomahawks) cannot percussively penetrate so an opponent can’t push the tomahawk spike into you.

Got to admit, I’ve been a long time Winkler Blades (S.A.R.)/RMJ Eagle Talon Tomahawk user & have only come across you and your work recently! I enjoy the mixed info/cats-family aspects of how you present these videos. I do see how you’ve found a needed niche for your ’Hawks and their nimble weight-size for CQB. KUDOS to you & your wicked tomahawks ~ I like ‘em!!🇺🇸

The problem with Naked and afraid is they won’t tell how much money. I’m not afraid of nudity, but I better get paid a lot for bug bites and potential parasite problems. I’m probably too old now any way. Very interesting tools. Weapons laws are somewhat ambiguous and every state has differences.

Hello there, I have been admiring your tomahawks for some time. I have owned and trained with Cold steel hawks(most recently the Trench Hawk), but have been dissatisfied with the size and sluggishness of the weapon. While using an antique ball peen hammer at work,(about 16 oz total, I thought to myself " I need a hawk more like this". I searched "lightweight tomahawks", and found you. I am still making up my mind about which one I would like to purchase.
@wingardwearables
@wingardwearables 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment and glad you found us! I hope we can get the Stingray Tomahawk out before Christmas--that will be our heaviest tomahawk--a few ounces lighter than that ball peen hammer. Stingray, Backripper, and Empress Tomahawks each have thier own unique advantages so you can choose which suits your needs best at this time. Take care!

@@wingardwearables Thanks...P.S...I was on the receiving end of a quickly deployed concealed jeweller's hammer in a street fight as a dumb teen. (pepper spray in one hand blinding me and hammer in the other delivering oh so many blows to the head). Your concept is sound.
@wingardwearables
@wingardwearables 3 жыл бұрын
@@larenmcguigan4788 Whoa, that sounds very unpleasant. That’s a pretty decent combo-impact weapon plus chemical spray. Hope the damage wasn’t permanent! I probably wouldn’t carry chemical spray-it’s a rather niche’ item, but a tiny, powerful flashlight is a good general use thing to have and can be blinding if wisely employed.

It took me about a month but I decided upon the Empress, just placed the order actually :) What led me to my choice was the historical aspect of bronze weapons being affective in combat and the unique spontoon shape is extremely attractive. I’m real excited for this hawk to come in!

10/21/22 Way-y-y late to your great video. Very intriguing video descriptive. Subscribed to your channel out of an interest in your Empress model. Questions: do you cast an ambidextrous Empress tomahawk? If yes, great! If not do you recommend owner "bending it" so the talon is not curved? ~ Eric. ** asked if one is not partial to either hand such as myself
@wingardwearables
@wingardwearables Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment and subscribing! The Empress tomahawk’s handle is ambidextrous, but the spike is canted to be carried for the right side of the body, or canted to be carried on the left side of the body. We only cast them as right sided versions, and to make the lefties I take the sand casted heads (before finishing) and percussively hammer the spike to cant it for the left side carry. This marks up the sand casted bronze surface, but that’s fine because the bending occurs before grinding off casting marks anyways. I would not recommend bending a finished Empress tomahawk because it will mark up the spike, and if the bending attempt is done poorly, it could lead to damage in the head/handle connection. Let me know if this makes sense.
@thecrowrains
@thecrowrains Жыл бұрын
@@wingardwearables thanks for the prompt reply. Understood: no "post purchase" bending by customer recommended. If you sold an Empress with its talon straight (not canted) I'd buy it. Ambidextrous folks like myself always have to confer with ourselves which hand to use in sports, but in this case a self defense tool is an entirely different, serious matter.
@wingardwearables
@wingardwearables Жыл бұрын
@@thecrowrains I will think about it-a straight back spike can have ergonomic issues if worn inside the waistband-modern furniture and butt-cupping car seats will use your body weight to push the tomahawk head forward when seated. Depending your body type, pant height, belt tightness, etc, that could wind up being uncomfortable

Thank you for sharing! Appreciate your mentality and the way you communicate the benefits of your design. Hard2Hurt introduced me to your product and showed its viability. Can you tell me about the one by your drink? Is that just one of the steel prototypes? Thank you Sir.
@wingardwearables
@wingardwearables 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment-Hard2Hurt’s video was excellent. The tomahawk by the drink is our Stingray Tomahawk-a completely different design. It was introduced last December, and although we make a batch once a month, these are small batches and they typically sell out in a couple of days. It has some interesting design features. I typically don’t do “product overview” videos until products have been out at least a year-gives time for me to get feedback from customers, etc so that the overview video is more informative. If you want a Stingray, I suggest subscribing to our e-mail list. We will notify folks there first, any time new products get back in stock.
