The microphone started to cut out in the end and I forgot to say a few things:
The rear spike is contoured for left or right side carry to be more streamlined to your body for comfortable conceal carry, especially when sitting in a modern butt-cupping car seat.
The edges are free hand grinds.
If you are 5’7” or shorter, we recommend the 13” MOLLE handle over the 16” full length handle.
The Backripper Tomahawk is not designed for throwing, which will eventually break or loosen the handle.
and please share this video with anyone you know that should be thinking about getting a Backripper Tomahawk!
And if you are looking for CREDIBLE reviews from real, genuine customers, check out these videos.

A brilliant design, flawlessly executed! The best tomahawk I own and I have many. Happy to carry mine daily. Love the Vulpes trainer. Proud to be one of the special twelve who watched to the end.

That means a lot, given how many great tomahawks that you already have! Really great to hear that

I like the mole version of this, but I think I’d stick with my bolo for bushcraft and the empress for edc.

The MOLLE version also conceal carries for low vis EDC. But I personally prefer the full sized Empress. A little bit more reach and the handle is a bit plumper. Just my personal preference.

Whoops, saw this comment and thought it was about the Empress Tomahawk-I prefer carrying full sized Empress vs. MOLLE Empress, but I really carry my Backripper Tomahawks everyday, and the Empress a lot less. The MOLLE Backripper is especially easy to carry. Same size as the full sized Empress, thinner and lighter. The head design and material, tool steel, is more friendly to common everyday utility chores. I need to do some bushcraft videos in 2022 to show what works and what doesn’t with these very lightweight axes.

I love your stuff, the dick pick and quill are super fantastic. I plan on getting my coworkers a quill for their tool bags. But i am definitely going to get a backripper asap. Its definitely my favorite

How much for the longer handled one?
@wingardwearables
@wingardwearables 2 жыл бұрын
The BIGGER Backrippers are $435-those are 19” overall length and the tomahawk heads are 20% larger in all dimensions vs standard Backrippers. The standard sized Backrippers are $345. All prices include carry system and US shipping

So hard a decision... Backripper molle or Empress? Weighing differences. Leaning toward Back ripper but then again lol..

Backripper is better, IMO, because it’s a potent weapon but has greater general utility than the Empress. I carry mine every single day.

@@wingardwearables when do you carry the Empress? Also the back ripper is a deer pelvic bone within the realm of uses? thank you
@wingardwearables

I carry the Empress when I am at the beach or at a pool. The head is bronze and cannot rust. The wood is treated to be highly water resistant. So the whole tomahawk tucks in the swimming trunks nicely. But when I am not in the water, I carry the Backripper tucked in the pants, and the Stingray hung under my arm. Both Backripper and Stingray should break down a deer pelvis just fine. One of our customers is a hunter and has broken down a few deer with his Backripper. What you don’t want to do is “pry” with any wood handled axe after burying the chopping blade into bone. So if you twist on the handle, say you are trying to pop out the femur from the hip joint. It can work but that prying can accumulate damage in the head/handle connection, so just don’t twist with it. But chopping impacts on the axe and dragging motions with the spike side are all fine.

Any thoughts on "revising" a machete?

Yes but haven’t found a satisfactory way to make big blades comfortable for EDC

Hi Zach, got a question for you - what is the smallest circumference of the haft - roughly
@wingardwearables
@wingardwearables 3 жыл бұрын
The handle is rectangular in cross section so I wouldn't describe it by circumference. The narrowest portion is just over a 1/2" wide by 5/8" thick.

Also please excuse the delayed response. I typically get notified on video comments but not on yours for some reason
