Lifeweaver change is what so many people have been begging for, better utility for Petal and more incentive to using your thorns instead of just healbotting. Nerf to Dash also means he's a little more vulnerable to getting dove so he can actually die when you commit on him, I really like the changes they made and hope this helps bolster his playstyle instead of being Diet Mercy that just sits in backline and holds heal all game

Not to sound pompous but really any dps is fairly easy to kill moira with, some a tad harder than others but honestly if ur struggling with he mcree is insanely easy to get her, when shenthrows her healing orb and you hinder her she can fade or keep up with healing orb. For the Lifeweaver changes, Pro-Tip: You can now charge a Healing Blossom to full, THEN swap to damage, and retain the full charge blossom for whenever you want. The passive charge is nice, but this interaction, whether intentional or not, is going to be a BIG habit to form for good Lifeweavers if it doesn't get removed.

I love how overall the change of mechanics was aimed towards forcing, or maybe making obvious the strategies that teams must use to win. This is something that unlikely has any effect on high ELOS but it's going to help a lot the low ELOs to understand their priorities. *Healers having less HP and more damage and healing:* This encourages people to first target the supports in the team fight, as now they're easier to kill and their heal was improved, so if you don't focus the healers, you're likely to lose the team fight. *New wave spawn:* This mechanic helps team to regroup after wiping. In higher elos, people know to wait for teammates to do another push, but in low ELOs, you'll see people pushing towards the enemy alone and dying again over and over making you be always at a disadvantage. wave spawns forces the team to regroup even if they don't want to, giving less room to committing this mistake. So, in my opinion, Season 12 aims to lower the skill floor of the game as a whole, and want to see how much this change works by hard-resetting the ranks.

It’s support not healer first of all and secondly I do think that the respawn system will strongly affect lower ranks like you said. Usually causal players or lower ranked players for that matter will not really know certain updates of the game. I’ve had many people in my plat games not read patch notes. The new respawn system makes me a bit nervous as it’s not very obvious to players who don’t keep up with OW news or updates. Hopefully it works out tho

​@@fawnleif They are healers in the first place. You provide support to your team with utility too, but if you don't heal anything, that's just throwing. This "it's support not healer" was what made symettra so akward to play in the past. She was a defense role (at that time there wasn't dps role) labeled as support, so the team would have 1 healer and symmetra, and just not getting enough heals (there wasn't role queue, but it was kinda a taboo to play 3 supports). Symmetra got reworked multiple times until they finally switched her to dps.

Supports heal but also provide utility to enable their teammates or stop plays from the enemy team. Their sole purpose isn’t just to heal the team. We know that you can have the highest amount of healing in the lobby but still lose. Your point about symmetra came out of nowhere but I’ll say this. Symmetra was put into the support category because her early kit had an ability that would enable her team. But overtime they changed her to dps because it honestly didn’t make sense to keep her as support since her play style was clearly more suited for a dps. I honestly think calling supports healers is incredibly obnoxious and ruins players perception of what the support role is meant to do. If you believe that they are truly healers then you might as well tell your Ana to never throw a sleep dart, or never use bap’s window, or never use zen’s discord orb. All I was doing was correcting your usage of the word. I believe calling supports healers stems from Jay3’s community. I enjoy jays content but the whole healers not supports is honestly really annoying even if it is a joke.

I think Symmetra was incorrectly put in the support category, I always defended she should be should from the start of the game because the lack of healing _really_ hurted the team, even if the teleport was useful. I did say heal isn't the only thing a healer should do, but it's the main goal. Zenyatta that doesn't do damage, a Mercy that doesn't damage boost, a Lucio that doesn't speed boost is a bad one. But if those healers don't heal at all, they are just throwing. If a support that doesn't heal isn't a support, I think it's fair to call it a healer.

I'm not sure I like clash mode seems too fast. No time for regroup and thinking on strategy. Points are taken so fast you only need to win 1 tf to get 1 out of 5 points to win. You don't even need to make some team kill it'll be enough only to make them go back for a bit. It makes the whole match like Best of 10 teamfights.

I will be honest, I really do not like the direction they took Kiriko. I am fine with the HP nerf, she really needed it, but I am deeply disappointed by the sudden change of identity on her Kunai. I really enjoyed that she was a higher skill floor hero because she needed to land headshots to be an effective duelist, but now that is kinda not there anymore because she can just land 2 Kunai and do the same, it's not like there's a huge delay inbetween them.I would've preferred if they lowered the damage from 45 to 40, and increased the multiplier to 3x so she does 120 on headshot (which is how much she does now anyways). This is the change in the whole patch that I am deeply disappointed in.

Lifeweaver platform changes are so good, exactly what the ability needed is just more time to be active and for it to be able to return down on it's own. Now Lifeweaver essentially creates new terrain for his entire team while in play instead of just a one-time lift every time he has his ability. Enables so much more coordination and strategy with his team, and also can likely make for some really cool plays that weren't available before

Hot take: I don't think they should do a rank reset when they release a new hero. Full disclosure, I'm in gold, and I've had so many people picking Juno with no experience on her. It seems like an auto loss when they do that. I like the Lifeweaver changes. Now his petal platform is functioning like an elevator which multiple can use one after the other and the passive healing charge makes his playstyle a bit more fluent. I´m playing casually and also not very often Ranked and whenever I played I mostly hit Gold which is fine by me. Don´t really care about my rank and only play Ranked for extra-EXP and gaining ranked-points I can use for future-Gold-Weapons.

They’re good changes except the petal, it did need the health needed but but having the 2 second person standing requirement it was a nerf to a lot of utility. Ex: lifting dva bomb (I forgot if it counts), Winston bubble, sym tp, mauga cages and other niche things that you get to have fun with. Tbh that was kinda his skill expression other than life grip timing, cd management and positioning.

Keep in mind that someone has to stand on it and you can still make some fun combos with it for example having a Torb Turret on it and going up and down while the enemy tries to shoot it. ^^

Zarya is the last hero that needed a buff. She needs a massive nerf. I watch her slice through enemies like butter every single time she's in a match. If you aren't a mobile hero, you might as well just stand still and let her kill you. It's ridiculous. If she's anywhere near the point and has even one teammate with her, that's it, you just have to back off and give them the point. Sombra also needs a nerf to her infinite invisibility. That was one of the worst changes they've ever made in the game. Why not just mail out Gamesharks to every Sombra player so they can cheat the entire game. Same thing. It's the cheapest ability in the game and requires absolutely no thought process or skill.

@@AnthonyMercado-1988 She's not a DVA counter, she's a DVA eliminator. A counter suggests if you do the right things, you can still fight with Zarya. Maybe if you're playing in the highest of ranks and your team knows what to do and executes it correctly most of the time. In anything below Plat, very few people know how to play against Zarya, she just dominates the entire match if the player is a Zarya main. She literally breaks the game.

Zarya becomes useless against headshot heroes like Cassidy or Hanzo, or even Mei. Add in a Zenyatta and she just melts. Also, the main tanks right now are Winston and Rein, her two main counters, so it's even worse for her. She only thrives when Orisa is A or S tier, or when someone plays Sigma (but even then, Sigma can counter every single tank if played correctly)

I'm glad to see the Kiriko buff/nerf hasn't lowered her kill potential further, or at least it doesn't seem like it, but I still don't like the initial changes they made where her headshot multiplier was lowered. It was a unique and rewarding piece to her kit that made her really satisfying to play, even though I'd sometimes be useless missing all my shots. The moments where I consistently made headshots in a fight made it all worth it, made it memorable and fun. She's still fun, but I personally would prefer if the balance focused on enhancing the heroes unique aspects for balance rather than reduced them.

I loved Kiri crit multiplier, it was so satisfying to land kunais at the face, now she is stronger but has lost her spicy flavor to me. Also, really shocked they didn't tocuh Genji, he is easily in the top 5 more mobile characters but didn't even try to tweak numbers, not complaining about this one tho

i absolutely love the wave respawn change it definitely makes a different when trying to speed back to fights/points and also regroup (this is my perspective from playing lucio where if i died a few seconds before a teammate i would then have to sit in spawn and wait for them so i could speed us back, when this became multiple teammates the waiting got boring, frustrating and just pointless at times)

wave respawn is good because so many people die and immediately run in to battle not paying attention if other teammates or possibly the entire team has died. preventing feeding the enemy or trickling back.

I guess that's one way to balance the role queues: release a support hero and make support miserable to play in the same patch. It's bad enough that you can turn a corner and get headshot by Widow now we have to worry about Hanzo spam 1 shotting you. Sombra was buffed, yup that's what the game needed. Neither of the OP dive tanks got anything meaningful done to them and in the case of Winston, nothing done to him. Prepare for the most miserable support experience we've had in a while.

They need to shorten the time between throwing out heals and her kunai for Kiriko. They don't need to widen the gap of heals to allow more kunais to be thrown. She is using both hands to do either task, and her heals aren't instant so it's better to have them mid flight to ensure they heal at opportune times.

personally, i think with how op sombra is in lower ranks her health should be a little more equivalent to tracer’s, (maybe even 200) which would make a lot of lower ranks happy as well as the higher ranks. just an unasked for and unpopular opinion. she would still be very toxic, but with a skill tier gap instead of just hotswapping to her and winning the game :)

Maybe if he was actually performing well as some kind of threat, but his win rate is awful. The others have other reasons for the changes besides just being mobile, even when they are all more mobile than Genji too, except for Hanzo. Double jump isn’t much, and swift strike needs reset. It’s also not a good mobility tool given its hit box.

@@YoWasupImADude-xv6hi Deflect being better to stop hard countering would good, along with instant cast time, and fixing swift strike. Genji is only mobile double jumping and with swift strike. Problem with swift strike that other mobility heroes don't suffer with is its huge hitbox. It's not good escape and reset only comes from kill which is hard due to Genji sucking on damage front.

(45×2.5=112.5 vs 60×2=120) That's back to her initial launch headshot damage that was nerfed bc it was too strong AND her base damage is higher than it was then.
