I really appreciate the Japanese accents, whether the VAs are actually Japanese, or pretending, it's still quite believable. The story of the Yakuza Dragon Brothers was my favourite (ie. Genji and Hanzo) and I think this story (in terms of Japanese culture) is pretty good.

Sally Amaki, who voices Kiriko, is fully Japanese. She was born and raised in America and moved to Japan in high school. She's part of an idol group called 22/7 and often acts as their English correspondent because of her fluency in both languages. She's also hosted livestreams for Aniplex as well. She's also the Japanese and English voice for Carol in this one upcoming anime, Tomo-chan is a Girl.

If you are living in another country it can be hard to maintain two languages, as it is often easier to speak the language of the country you are in. I love the details and thought that the Blizzard team puts into these. Out of curiosity I decided to check if they used the correct signs for things and found the signs for "fox" and "rabbit" were completely wrong. Then I remembered that ASL (American Sign Language) is different from other sign languages used around the world. They are using Japanese Sign Language (JSL)!

It’s the tiny details, down to the differences between ASL and JSL, that make the animation team rise above others who try using sign language for characters, there’s a difference between using ASL for a deaf character because it’s common, and using or creating a correct or custom localization of Sign Language for a character and their region, for example Transformers RID 2015 had a bot who used Cybertronian or Universal Sign language as it was called in the show, and they made an entirely new system for it in the show

Ya know I gotta love the emotion and the care given to each and every detail and while Kiriko has absurdly long legs for her body build she also has such a lovable personality and even the fox spirit is impressive cause if this follows Kitsune lore then it's likely Kiriko is possessed by a field fox spirit and when she releases control to them the fox spirit guides/take control of every individual around it thusly why the small deaf child proceeded to wield an axe like a 16th century crazy Chinese man out for blood cause his rice didn't grow right this year

That fight scene was so sick and the music fit perfectly. Her ultimate scene gave me goosebumps lol. My heart melted when she was using sign language with the little girl. Someone who is caring enough to learn sign to communicate with others is a real angel imo. This animation team is incredibly talented. I couldnt imagine the amount of work this takes. However I would love to see this made into a movie.
