The fun thing about Kiriko being a "main healer" is that since I started playing in OW2 launch, I didn't know about these terms, and I climbed from zero to masters in 3 seasons basically by playing off healer Kiriko, flanking and getting picks. And all that while getting flamed in gold/plat for "not healing enough" , lmao

Yeah if my support mate is a main healer, I just go flanking Dps Kiriko. She is by far my most played hero but often I don’t really pick her anymore if I need to stand in the back and kinda need to healbot. I had games where I single handedly destroyed the enemy as Kiriko with like 9k dmg and 3k heal but still got flamed by my mates for not healing.

The "top 500 on tank but diamond on support" argument holds no weight. People who are top 500 understand positioning, cooldown management, map layouts, etc better then a diamond player would. They may not have the aiming skills on that hero, but they have everything else at a top 500 level. You are inherently at a disadvantage. Also, they've stated MMR for quick play and ranked are the same. No way a bronze player should be going up against #1 and #2 support in QP. And if you think that it's okay, remember that's why new players aren't sticking around. Why play a game where you're going against the best players in the game right off the bat.

I love how I actually forgot about the 30% faster reload speed on Ashe after u kill someone and I would not remember it unless I watched this video. Like literally how the fuck anyone is supposed to know all the stats and small details like that if you cannot find it anywhere in game. All you can do is press F1 and see the overall description of the cooldowns and thats it. No stats no nothing. Imagine trying to get new players interested and not telling them anything about the fuckin characters. I guess they were busy working in the PvE

100% agree on the supports being able to hard climb by pocketing the carry. As a widow main I fully understand I'm mainly off on my own I'm out of sight so its on me to to get heals when i need but nothing pisses me off more than when I'm completely in the zone hitting every shot and my mercy is just heal botting the tank. Any kind of heals when someone dives me whether it's a dva Winston sombra tracer etc completely changes the whole fight and I will win.

I keep getting paced in a lot of mid-high gold matches while being Silver 5/4. Generally going 5-2 or 5-3 but the last three updates have either remained the same rank or only moved up one rank ... why am I being placed in so many high gold matches if it's not going to consider me for the rank?! From the QP situation, I'm at least confused since Flats talks about how ranked tries to get an equal match, but sometimes you'll get a person from diamond or platinum in your high tier game. He then talks about QP grabbing people only of same rank only. So is that true in any sense, or just not at all and you'll get a broad spectrum?

Devs said MMR in Quick Play and MMR in Ranked are the same. In theory, that should mean you only get Quick Play lobbies filled with people around your same MMR rank. The problem is, that's a massive lie and they shove whomever they want in there to ensure quick queue times. That's why you can be in a lobby with a Top 500 5 stack while your team is a solo queued team of Bronzes.

If people want the true competitive definition of Main and Flex support, it refers to what support pick is most integral to your team comp's prime win condition. Main support in a Rush style comp would be Lucio because the win condition of the rush itself relies heavily on his speed boost, and then the Flex support is a support role that one can flex in between a couple of heroes that can adapt soft advantages to further bolster your win condition depending on what enemy comp you're going up against, what map you play on, and so on. This can really be extended to every role (no longer for Tank obviously in OW2), just think to yourself which character within the chosen role is most integral to the main win condition of your team, and that will be the Main of said role relative to the comp you're playing. So it's not a static measurement guide, Zen could be considered a Main support in a dive that relies heavily on his Discord to burst down the prime dive target, but in another comp where general utility is more favorable he would be a Flex, as his spot would be flexible in that comp and not rigid like in the Dive scenario. True Main/Flex definition relies on context, not a blanket ruleset of set roles for each hero in all scenarios.

On the first one I agree, sombra is a great example of this. As sombra the most important thing is to not worry too much about stats as you won’t have good damage nor’ eliminations compared to your team but you can still be carrying by distracting the supports or by helping kill targets at critical moments by focusing fire. Stats don’t always matter and once you learn to focus on your gameplay and NOT your stats you can start climbing easily.
