It's a Bronze game. DPS getting kills is contingent on what tanks and healers do to set the conditions, but - just like the guy that sent in this video - people are more interested in blaming DPS and telling them to switch than in actually playing in Bronze.The Bronze attitude lately seems to be that everything is always DPS's fault and tanks can do no wrong (support mostly too). Tanks are just running all over the place, creating no space, away from support, then yelling "Ashe, switch!" when they die, despite the fact that I (generally as Brig) can't even get an armor pack on them because they ran off chasing the enemy Genji somewhere way out of sight.If you're in Bronze, you're going to get Bronze DPS. You probably should not be telling anyone to switch for pretty much any reason. You shouldn't be asking for 2-2-2, and if you do get it, you need to stop swapping off a tank to Widowmaker because we only got 2 of 3 ticks on the first attempt to get the initial point.Basically, in Bronze, just do not have an opinion on your team at all. Concentrate on making YOUR play better. The enemy team is not any more likely to be a good comp with everyone doing well at their jobs than yours is. Improve your own play, and keep your thoughts on everyone else to yourself - ESPECIALLY the DPS. DPS players aren't even listening any more. Trust me - when people are saying GG before the game even starts because of the DPS picks, you're being tuned out if you're on of the complainers.

The thing with bronze is, swapping to junkrat was the right call. When you’re in bronze, it’s not really about team play. If you want to get out of bronze, play your best hero. You could tell by the first round, he did way more with Junk than Rein even if it isn’t the optimal meta pick.

yes and no if someone wanted to swap to main tank in that situation sure switching to a hero you better play as is the right call but the team comp went out the window and only bronze that strategy worked as the other team failed to capitalize on the poor team comp switch. I will agree at bronze better to just play heroes your good at instead of playing flex to get out of bronze

I clawed my way from mid bronze to mid gold. And I can say there is no difference in average skill among the players. The only thing is that you don't get that one braindamaged person controlling the game with an Amiga joystick, nor that one smurf that has 3000 hours on tracer/widow. Ignoring the absence of those random elements, gold players are just as incompetent as bronze players. And from what I hear plat is the same.

As a Tank player (Main is Zarya), when I have to play a main tank Rein/Orisa, its very frustrating when you're creating space and the team doesn't take advantage of it or play around the barrier. Switching to Junk was a good idea because he made a ton of bad decisions playing Rein. He definitely has the potential to rank up if he plays what he is comfortable with up until Platinum

There is standard good advice, and then there is the reality of your current match up. If your Tank or Support play is not making an impact at low tier, then you should swap. You want to be making valuable plays with each life. Sometimes this can not happen in bronze and silver unless you play what you know how to play. Sometimes this knowledge is counter-hero play, and it works. In this defense, swapping to junkrat made all the difference. He did it without being overly toxic too. Ive played dozens of games as Mercy at silver & bronze where really good Mercy play is making zero difference other than stalling the enemy that we can not seem to kill at all. Sometims I can use the Mercy pistol to make a small difference, but usually in these cases I have to swap off support to bring more impact, even if that means no main healer.

This happened to me yesterday. I always fill and sometimes i snap. I was rein with mercy and 4ps, no one uses my shield, get focused, dps not fragging. Then I switched to hanzo turned to losing key fights and we won. I think that video and how to enjoy overwatch again is really good where it says just play what you want and have fun, don’t go in comms, etc. Not only will you have more fun but I think you’ll climb too

The reason he had more kills as a ReinaHart is because he wasn't protecting his DPS, so they could secure kills. Instead he was YOLO charging into the offense leaving his DPS vulnerable, then complains when they die. He did well as a JunkRat because JunkRat doesn't require a shield-tank to be effective @ spamming chokes. But not having a shield-tank put the other DPS at a disadvantage.

I am same rank as this horrifically bad rein. I thought to myself "oh a bronze game this should be helpful" then I saw he would play rein and I thought " well this video is going to really help my play. Video proceeds to include a rein player who charges in every fight, wastes ten minutes to get a mini healthpack and just generally walks around doing absolutely nothing while there's a fight happening. Oh he also like never uses his shield. How am I supposed to learn from this?? And how am I at this rank? This video triggered me worse than anything could possibly trigger me because it truly made me wonder how the fuck I'm in bronze. Also sty you must learn that team comps are not an issue in bronze because that is where all the support and tank players like me rank down to. There is always 2-2-2 in any game I play.

No one's mentioned it but I'm kind of impressed by the timing of the charge at 5:45. The hanzo dragon ult was still in motion, and he charged just missing the end of the tail. Obviously a terrible play regardless he can't see where he's charging and he was gonna die as he's just going into the enemy team alone. And I'm guessing he didn't do it on purpose anticipating when the ult would end. But if I was him, I'd never do something so crazy haha, I'd wait just a milisecond so I would no for sure I wouldn't go straight into Hanzo's ult. I mean he wasn't even at full health lol when he charged.

My advice is that you should probably stick to junkrat though, you're far better at him and you're regularly hitting stuff with them. Didn't feel like a Bronze Junk at all. And good control of his mine. Especially when you compare your ability and say the Genji who was at a similar rank. Not sure I agree with Stylosa, when you switched to Junk you started winning, if you stayed as rein you would have lost. More so you were better at dealing with the enemy rein with your junk than your rein. Overwatch in some ways sucks, you probably only were at that rank because you decided to flex, as I said your Junk is far better. I would simply mainly one-trick Junkrat until you've gotten as high as you can go or to a point where composition/i.e having a main tank really matters. And work on improving as tank in QP. I would also lower your resolution to 75 if it's not already, as it'll give you extra fps to take advantage of. It is far better to be good at a hero rather than flex and be not good with one. Tips for Rein though, hardly charge just keep your shield up mainly and stick with the team. Rely mostly on melee and fire strike to build up ult charge. Rein play is a lot around charging up his ult as fast as possible. Play defensive until you've got your ult. And you did right, if your team isn't using your shield, switch to another hero.

No Sty, I don't think just because you filled the main tank role, cause you were a good sport and the team needed it, you have to play it the whole match. There are 6 people in a team, maybe it's someone else's time to fill that role. And it's not nice when i hear someone go in hero selection "go rein". Yeah, but if you want a rein maybe you go. The ef, why must i oblige to 5 strangers to play something THEY want on MY game?

I understand the sentiment but in a team game like this saying this is effectivly saying that, those 5 strangers who also payed the same price for the game must play around your one pick if they want a chance of winning because even if you're an amazing McCree if the rest of your team is running dive you are the only who isn't working with the team. While you can't be forced to work with your team it is the sign of a team player to do so. Also first to load in in my opinon do get preference even though it's not really fair. If there's already 2 dps 2 healers and 1 tank by the time I load in I will pick tank even if I don't really want to play it just because they picked first so I feel like I should work with the teams picks.

Issue is that you fight with the same people over and over and if you don’t work well with them meaning you could be bad or they could based on the comp then your screwed and can’t climb I say hi to people I’m not even friends with and bring up the fact we fight each other constantly.

In all honesty: I would have stopped playing tank with that Genji in my team, too. He was like what? 10 years old? He always just jumped into the enemy team and died for no reason. Then got some kills when his ultimate charged passively. His Junkrat was okay and he should just stick with it if he wants to climb. His Reinhardt was pretty bad though as a main tank.
