I really enjoyed this and hope this becomes a series. It's much easier to understand advanced plays if you are not only told what to do, but someone can SHOW you how to do them. I'd also love to see one on Sombra sometime soon. Cheers

Flying that far so quickly from the the Gibralter spawn door is ridiculous! Imagine you're on defense in that high ground spot against this guy. *3.. 2.. 1.. Stop the Paylo--* "DOOMFIST HERE!" >:D *SLAM*
@overlordalfredo7 жыл бұрын
A pitty that Chipsa did not explain some of basics for Doomfist. E.g. I did not know for a long time that your Seismic Slam does way more dmg if you use it from a high ground *without* jumping or uppercut. Pre-jumping will lock the Seismic slam dmg on about 90 max. If you are standing idle when slamming from a high ground you can have up to 125 dmg. Also you can sort of slide on roof tops with the slam to increase the dmg charge. This is pretty important basic stuff I guess. Another thing would be that primary fire cancels your animation for abilities, so if you Slam > primary fire > uppercut this will execute faster than Slam (finishes animations) > uppercut.
@overlordalfredo7 жыл бұрын
XuQifei I don't think so. There is no explaination ingame for it and guides like this Do not mention it. So unless ppl really trial&error a lot by themselves or discover this by pure accident the will not know. In fact there are some DF guides on YT that teach to always gain Hight by uppercut First before seismic Slam. And whenever is leaving out crucial Information any helpful? Or when does giving such Information harm ppl?

I dont see why you have to know about the 125 damage from seismic slam from youtube videos. If you play a lot of doomfist you could have figured it out yourself, stop relying it on people to tell you the mechanics or give you information. Obviously when you play doomfist, you would know hes the type of character that needs high grounds to optimise the damage he can deal.
@양재걸-s3q5 жыл бұрын
So stop blaming it on chipsa. That 125 damage if you get on higher grounds is a pretty known fact by anyone who plays doomfist, its a common fact bro

Bryan Johnson Just hold jump and tap your alternate fire, it gives you way more distance with your rocket punch for much less charge. Only way to outdistance it is to use jump at the end of a fully charged rocket punch to cancel it.

I wanted to give Doomfist a fair shot since he was hyped since the first cinematic (and that anime that featured him throwing a car door like a Frisbee). In my experience being on a team with or going against a good DF player is rare, his pick rate is in the toilet (and I'm only casual) so I was looking for pro tips and most of these are useful, but getting what amounts to a tutorial from the best player in the world for a character that should not have this complex of a learning curve is the main reason why he's getting a much needed buff.

@PerciusLive7 жыл бұрын
any experienced doomfist know shift-e is defensive and escape whereas e-shift is to engage. why? because shift reduces the damage of e. plus that's two resources consumed for one not very effective attack. everything else is explained in the video.
@Jake-ei2li7 жыл бұрын
i think he knows what he's talking about. you can use right click to disengage too. the combo he talks about has high potential to kill squishes
@bZgtHeSTD7 жыл бұрын
PerciusLive because if you shift e to engage you will not be able to kill a 250 hp or less hero without having to use rocket punch at the end because your shift won't hit the target. Doing this is inefficiant and dangerous cuz it leaves you with no escape options as your abilities are on cooldown. But if you used e shift to engage it does 2 things. 1) it allows both the E and the shift to hit your target allowing you to kill any none tank heroes in that one combo . 2) after you secure the kill you still have an escape option with rocket punch. The rule of thumb with df is that if you know you can kill the enemy with just rocket punch then engage with rocket punch. But if you know you can't because he's no where near a wall you should engage with e shift and then escape with rocket punch
