I was about to say this... the Doomfist made the right call, he killed the baby d.va but had no tools to escape. If he used the Rocketpunch to escape the ult d.va would of gotten back into her mech.... and if she got kills with the ult it would of been worse because the enemy would of reinforce the point faster. If this player is this consistent with his plays he will get to GM... but he will have to struggle with matchmaking and if he isn't willing to swap some teams will just counter him hard, especially when he starts running into good Sombra players.

I got 2 accounts, one 2973, one 2291, same heroes and playtime same player, WHY? Luck, not because of GOOD teams, but the luck to NOT get BAD TEAMS. On my gold account I always have 4 golds still lose, (no one trick, pure flex) in high plat low diamond, I also get 4 gold medals, BUT that's not only because of me like in gold, but because tanks actually create space, supports actually have more than 2K healing, they aren't the best of the world, but good enough to let good DPS's shine.

Then you have one hour played, because I have two accounts, one 3700 and 3400, same player, different times, different heroes, but I guarantee I could climb the 300 if I stuck to my main, Genji. Same goes for when I was in diamond a few seasons ago, one account 3200-3300, the other 3100. Gambling, sure, but the better player always ends up on top.

Well last season I had about 90 hours on my lower account, and 70 on my higher main. If it is such a gamble, how come I (don't tell blizz) threw down to 1300, then climbed up to 2600 in few hours, then another day (same account) I went from 2600 to 3260 and only lost 3 games playing Tracer+Widow. If I have that kind of luck, I should buy a lottery ticket right now, cause I am a hell of a gambler! Stop making excuses for your poor play.

No it wouldnt have, if you go frame by frame the bomb explodes on low ground and since he was on the high ground he was out of the line of fire. Not to mention most the enemy team was gone and IF he had died he could easily reinforced quickly.

I imagine this player probably tilts and gets toxic when the game doesn't go in the team's favor, which can make a difference when attempting to rank up. You'd be amazed what a team can do when you boost their morale and confidence. Also people need understand coaching doesn't mean you're always gonna be 100% correct every time. Even the best coaches in general on any platform occasionally make a mishap for what is believed to be skewered or wrong. Calm down.

Its situational, the number does not necessarily mater or dictate which way the fight will go, its just playing on odds, which is why his advice is an issue, so many people listen to it and grow the wrong habits. Your best of just writing down the advice he has given you, and go watch a gm or top500 streamer for example and see if it applies, I guarantee you that it wont apply most of the time (aside from the basics)

The doomfist ult was a good play. He kept dva from re-meking, stayed alive, and cleaned up. It’s better to waste an ult like doom’s than to risk loosing. I’m slowly climbing out of gold as baptiste, I’m having fun while playing baptiste and I’m getting better as i climb up. Last game I managed to get 16,977 healing as bap, 30 defensive assists, and 9 deaths prevented. I’ve been going into games confident and have played well with this confidence, I’m excited to hit plat in role queue since I’ve gotten close but never made it in ever since I started playing back in January. I do make mistakes but nothing too bad that can cost me an entire game, there are games where i play horribly tho but they are pretty few and far between. Bottom line tho, I’m having fun and am slowly climbing to plat and rapidly closing in on my first gold gun. Watching the over analyzed series has helped so much with all of this too, if this series can help me with my gameplay then it can help really anyone and I hope it does. 9:13 as a Doom player myself I'd actually just look to punish that Rein by slamming and then upper cutting him further into my team. He's already feeding basically by being so far ahead of his team. Cooldown management actually wasn't necessarily the problem in this instance, but rather it was a doomfist positional thing. Roofs suck for the fister because it messes up your shift and prevents you from using shift+e as an escape. You could have blind slammed in and if you were lucky, combo the squishy you just slammed, and then punch out. I personally am not a big fan of the "drop off high ground and rocket punch into a choke" approach a lot of Dooms take except on a few maps. I think punch is better left as an escape or finisher on most maps until the team fight gets chaotic.

420 subs with no vids challenge diamond actually, yes you can counter pick doom, but if he gets a pocket and a zarya bubble there is very little you can do to stop him. he gets shields when he hits people so if he slams into a few of your teammates he's almost 400 health and even a headshot wont kill him lol. Even top tier players complain about the strength of doomfist at the moment. go watch chipsa or sinatraa play doomfist and tell me thats not broken

420 subs with no vids challenge i disagree, its more so on the team facing doomfist to coordinate taking him out. additionally a smart doomfist will play around an opponents cooldowns and if the ana or zenyatta is isolated from the team or even outside the range of friendly cc doomfist will kill them and escape before anyone can stop him. yes he is risky because of how much he has to commit but the speed at which he kills and escapes is ungodly. On defense hhis ability to shutdown enemy pushes before they start is unparalleled and when he has his ultimate he can blow all of his cooldowns in your backline without the fear of death. the hero takes practice to learn but is by far the best dps in the game right now if played properly

People who are stuck in plat / diamond and can't get to masters / gm, don't worry. I played with some great GM players (4100-4300 SR) and performed incredibly well for my role. I played Ana and consistently had my healing calling card with ~40% of team damage healed. Stole golds. My PEAK SR? ~2600. You can only do so much as a support player, a DPS, a tank - you can do your best when you solo queue, but my best advice is to trio stack and make sure that each person plays a different role - tank, support, dps. So if you *think* you belong in masters / gm, you probably do. You just need to grind the rest of the way. You can do it!

Everyone saying "he ulted because of DVA bomb, gosh Sty you're so bad"..... Yea it seems he reacted to the bomb, but it was still unnecessary. First, the indicator turned yellow so it wouldn't have damaged him at that distance. Second, the bomb landed on the ground, if he had stayed on the bridge for half a second longer he would have been out of its LoS. I'm not saying it was the wrong decision to ult, but giving Sty shit over it is just asinine, especially when he would have lived without using it. But hey, everyone has 20/20 hindsight.

So yea, I was mistaken about it being yellow. The mechs explosion is yellow so at first glance it looked like the indicator was yellow. But the mech was most certainly on the ground, 4:04. And I believe the best course of action would have been to walk into the room behind him. He was practically in the doorway already.

We already discussed that meteor strike was to save him from self destruct but it's not a big deal that he used it because everyone knows that meteor strike is just a disengaging ult and is seldom used to obtain kills so I think it was 100% justified

At 4,23 I think he used meteor is because he didn't know where the dva bomb was going to land and he didn't have time to see and escape from there so kept himself alive whick is the most important thing that's what I think anyway

Sorry Sty but I'm with the player on the first Doomfist Ult, he likely used the ult to be certain he survived the DVA Bomb, as he never saw how far/close it was to him when it went off, I don't think he used it to get a kill, just for an escape

My boyfriend and always play Competitive together and our limit of losses after which we stop is two. It does get frustrating when you win one match, lose two and have to stop but it's better than winning one and losing five. Rant incoming. The last time we played Comp was two days ago, the first Match was a bit tense but good in my opinion, it seemed fair to me. The enemy team had a 3 man stack with a Zarya, an Ana and I think a Reinhardt, two of them Plat, one of them Diamond. On the next Match we got their 3 man stack and I said "but they were pretty good, right?" when my boyfriend said that we have the enemy team 3 stack on our team now, because they had a good Mei on their team and I confused them as one of the players of the 3 man stack. We're currently stuck in high Plat, so we're getting matched with other Plat players. The enemy teams also had a 3 man stack, two of them Diamond. One of the Diamond players played Widow and won their game for them. Our McCree switched to Widow and played her most of the game, didn't get many picks and mostly died to their Widow. I'm a dps main and I don't have much time on Winston, but we needed something against their Widow, the others picked flankers instead as much as I remember. I failed miserably though. We really want to make it to Diamond but I feel like my skill is decaying more and more the more I play (really, I was better a few months ago) for some reason. I think I just can't do as much anymore as I used to and it depresses me. My boyfriend says I'm a very good Junkrat, as for my accuracy on Junk and Hanzo for example, is mostly between 21% - 39%. I play on PS4. I'm pretty bad anyways in my eyes, since I'm not very consistent as Hanzo and can't even get a Pharah out of the sky before she kills me. A few months I started playing Pharah and usually got 30-40 kills in qp, for a reason I can't remember I stopped playing for quite some time and when I got back to playing Ow, I only got up to 15 kills most of the time. I stopped playing her since then because I feel like I'm not good enough. I honestly don't really know what to do to stop beating myself up so much, even a friend of ours who is Diamond/Master said I'm good. I know I have to stop doing that, it just leads to me getting frustrated and after little time being salty and then not having fun with the game anymore. Any tips on getting over yourself? xd Sorry if anything is worded weirdly or badly, English isn't my native language. I'd still appreciate tips on gaining self confidence and stop having too high standards for myself.

Im a doomfist main and I am low master but that meteor was to survive it’s always good to secure a kill and use meteor to survive. U will use meteor as a way to stay alive and not to kill but if u can is better to kill and live just like he did

If you main doom..you'd know he ulted mccree at 10hp because it gives shields..its a passive for dooms abilities..and the ult out the dva bomb isn't a waste either
