The English stopped using the term all together in the later half of the 20th century as it had become seen as an Americanism. Facts for sure. However, Americans are the only ones who call it soccer while "football" is a game played by holding an object that is very much not a ball with your hands. You then occasionally throw the weirdly shaped object towards another player who then grabs it with his hands. Only one person on the team is allowed to actually kick the weirdly shaped object and this is only under very, very specific circumstances. I say you're the only ones calling it Soccer but there are indeed few Asian countries that call it Soccer as well.

The simplistic nature of brutes smashing their heads together and running across a field with a potato in their hands is so relaxing. The players doing what they're told is the only thought process they have to trouble themselves with. No nuance to the game outside running and throwing the potato once you can run no further. What an amazing game. I'm joking but honestly you haven't even told me what game you'd prefer over Soccer.

It's funny, but I have a daughter who played just like this when she was 6. The thrill she got when she killed one person (accidentally when she launched a Soldier 76 Helix Missile) was so worth it... She ended up with 3 kills and 30 deaths or something ridiculous like that, but celebrated it like a win. If only more people had her attitude the game would actually be more fun. ;)

They aren't upset that they're losing and in return they're giving the other team a free win. I'm not saying its something people should be doing but, in those cases, everyone is consenting to throw. So that really shouldn't be used as a point to why Smurf accounts are "bad". imo. Only thing I don't like about Smurf accounts is when you see someone who is in the top 500 twice. Like that's sucks, because they took a spot from someone else who also deserves to be there. && Yes, I see this (on console) all the time. One more thing... It's "you're" not "your". 🖤

The guy in the video did not C9, it's called a backcap and it's when the defending team forgets to contest the point, leaving someone to push it to its destination or cap it.

Carry 2Go it’s not super super hard, joining comp at level 25 without properly knowing the game or overwatch being your first FPS usually gets people there, I did both of those, down there is hell...smurfs, leavers, bad team mates, there’s no winning down there. Took me a few seasons by forming a group to get out of high bronze then soloed my way to gold, then role queue came around and goofed things up, I’m still in gold but I worry about dropping back to bronze one day even though it’s unlikely. Trust me you don’t wanna be there :(

It's not actually fun. You can't count on anyone to really help you in bronze so you need to carry your own ass out... and then forget all that and be a team player as soon as you hit low gold.

Don’t listen to any of these people idk what their talking about. Bronze indeed IS fun. Though yes you won’t get much help in terms of DPS, tanks pushing up (tho that’s nearly all ranks), and good support. But doesn’t mean it’s hard to get out. I have 3 low tier accs 1 bronze and 2 silver/gold sometimes bronze if I feel like getting it that low. It’s quite hilarious at what they say in terms of comms and how they play but it’s also ez af to get out. Less than a few hours. Best bet. Play in bronze find egirl and boost her out, YOINK MY Egirl Now LUL

I had a smurfing Roadhog one time as a 1100 bronze and it was bad. We didn't touch the point once. Also my OW buddy and I were playing against a smurfing widow and our team decided to stack because we weren't bad (for a silver team) and in the next game we get the same person. I had looked at their user to see if they had chosen a troll name, so I remembered it. Their team had decided to stack. Needless to say my buddy, some chill dude, and I were the only ones remaining after that

Super low tier, and pro level overwatch are the two best forms of overwatch, everything in between is bad. My best experiences were from playing in bronze and being on a high diamond amateur team (not exactly pro but still an organized team). And listen to me when I say, bronze and silver are so different you can't even imagine.

My point was that it was an organized team environment in a competitive league (like owl). @@tree_baum3950 my little brother loves playing in low bronze. He's super proud that he's "good enough to play on a bronze team". He also has severe mental and physical issues. He won't live past 12 or 13 according to his doctor. So no. I don't need to chill out. You need to understand that not everyone who doesn't play well isn't just stupid. And a LOT of the people in low bronze have similar issues. Asshole.

I've never gone that low but the general experience below 1000 seems to be encountering more and more smurfs to a point where there are often 3 or 4 in a game and many of them get stuck down there unable to get back up. It's really pathetic and not much fun for the regular players since they cycle between getting carried and getting rolled with only the occasional game where the smurfs are balanced.

I've been playing for a couple months and after placements I was put into mid-silver. I usually play with my friends so we can coordinate and communicate but sometimes you're a Mercy with tanks that charge solo into a hail of gunfire where they can't be healed or rez'd, other times you're a DPS who's the only one capping the point and get easily picked off in a 1v4. Like, I know I make small mistakes and miscalculations here and there, but taking lack of team coordination and adding smurfs throwing matches or leaving after the first minute because they think we're going to lose... then getting pissed off and telling their teammates to kill themselves like it's any more meaningful than a collection of pixels on a screen? Give me a break, dude. TL;DR: Not saying I'm that great at the game *yet* or anything, but people definitely make it harder than it needs to be climb ranks when they throw tantrums in silver and bronze, in my experience.

@@ryanlam3835 not if you happen to have to flex onto literally every single character and have clocked nearly a thousand hours on overwatch as a result. I am despite that primarily a healer and have 104 hours on Moira, 103 on Torb because at Bronze he is hilariously disgusting, 66 on Lucio, 40 on Baptiste, and Zen, 30 on Mercy, 25 on Ana, 50 on Winston, 40 on Orisa, 50 on Mcree and 40 on Sombra. Those are heros I cwn play well. All the others, about average.
