I have played Ovika for over a year now, the deck is wildly different than it was when I first brewed it. The first take had 30 mana rocks, big mana draw spells, a few pump spells, and some Counterspells. The deck now has been streamlined down to 22 mana rocks, 2-3 big mana draw spells, a fair amount of creature etb burn spells, and then a bunch of counter/removal spells plus some protection for Ovika who in my playgroup almost everyone keeps a kill spell for….

I just made a deck for this commander a couple days ago, and the strategy I am using are a lot of damage multiplying enchantments and unblockable granting spells to let the little goblins sneak in and each do like 5 damage per attack, and then a bunch of convoke spells as well if I am not set up to attack with them.

People gloss over my favorite card in the deck; sorcerer’s class. Level it up once and you can literally just keep going. All. Game. Long.

I think Invasion of Segovia is going to be wild in this deck. Every Spells makes goblins to convoke the next spell which makes more goblins....

i just built this deck just using cards i already own so i only need to buy the commander, and what i did is i put a huge emphasis on draw spells and mana rocks. i went with like 20 mana rocks and 16 draw spells. They will both not only help propell me forward faster so i can keep up with the rest of the table, but in the late game they also help me churn out even more goblins

Make sure to put a Hullbreaker in there. Make infinite tokens with sol ring and arcane signet

I've been excited to play this as an enchantress-esc deck with cards like reconnaissance mission and coastal piracy, amd the red Enchantment anthems get benefit right away by making haste creatures

I've played this commander a few times. It's just so do fun, even though it costs 7 to cast, I found a good way to combat thay is to also add in locust God and niv in there too and it works so well. If played correctly, you can do so much in 1 turn and even kill a whole table in 1 turn

I made Ovika. It's a lot of fun. Combo of Surge to Victory and having Time Stretch in the yard is exciting.

A sorcery class would be really strong with this commander. And maybe with magnus the red.

This and Magnus make a mass of reduction on spells. Hullbreaker horror can net you infinite goblins with mana rocks

I love the idea of this deck. Imagine have your Commander out and casting Kindred Discovery and naming goblin or Phyrexian. Creates 5 1/1 goblins with haste you draw 5 cards, attack and draw 5 more. It’s even better if you have Cavalcade of Calamity out already. So much valve.

Actually I do believe you wouldn't draw 5 from the cast. Those tokens are made right when you cast while ovika is out and before Kindred resolves.

My favourite deck right now is my Ovika deck. Playing last night I had kindred discovery out, drawing a ton of cards every turn is so much fun!!!!

I like the idea of running good X spells with all the mana you’ll be generating from your rituals. Especially if you have a Mana Echoes out there to invest in your spells. You can just keep going.
