ABSOLUTELY Brilliant! Hirst was a TOP Class striker, pace, skill, talent, .... Scored goals aplenty against the top English teams. Brilliant striker for Wednesday in one of the Best Wednesday teams of the last 30 years or so.

David hirsts record for scoring goals was unreal. Just always used to be him scoring. Hirst, waddle, Sheridan, Jensen, petrescu, walker. Great players

Nigel Worthington was a crossing specialist. Kind of player England needed. On par with Beckham. Great technical crossing and corners ability. Just didn't have that free kick technique. Unsung Heroes like injury prone Nigel Pearson who was for me one of the best centre-back in the country. Roland Nilsson, John Harkes these are the players you don't hear people talking about. Of course Wednesday used to have England's number 1.

I remember Brian McClair scored two goals that was given on a plate. WOrthington tried to do a backpass to the goalie (from a free kick!) and McClair was there to score. Also there was goalmouth scramble and the Wednesday made a mess to try to clear it and McClair scored again. It was a good match with Wednesday fighting back with two Jemson goals.

I remember Leeds went to hillsborough that season and smashed Wednesday 6-1, live on T.V ! Lee Chapman hat-trick if im correct.
