The Mitsubishi Pajero is a very good & strong vehicle, I've got one myself, it's a 2.8td had mine for 10 years, I drove it from London to Shrewsbury and back, a total of 600 miles 6 hours of motorway driving, still going strong and it hasn't let me down, passed its MOT no problem, Thanks for sharing this video.

I live in the Amazonas in South America. I love my Pajero 4x4, 2.8 Turbo Diesel Intercooler from 1994. NB: Good maintenance is key however, and the tiers are not cheap. Ha, ha, ha. PS: Certain parts like gearbox oil filter, I must import from Japan.

This is the car of my early childhood! This car brings back a lot of memories for me. My parents had one when I was a small child, until the engine blew up and it was taken away by a breakdown lorry never to be seen again.

To be fair to the Pajero, it came in first and won the Paris Dakar Rally back in 1983. Plus, it's the most successful compared to its competitors up to today. It's got rich rallying history, not just for heavy off road situations lol. I'll leave the defender to that

I prefer the v6 models they don’t have much power but I think they sound better and I noticed this one has fixed side glass on the back rather then the sliding glass
@RUX70N2 жыл бұрын
That's because the V6 is a UK supplied Shogun with the split side windows. The Pajero came with the single piece side window. I agree the V6 is better, and with fuel prices today more economical than the Diesel, mental. 👍

You should definitely try & track down a Pajero Evolution, SWB 3.5 V.6 with MIVEC. only a very small number built but they are out there in the UK.
@RUX70N2 жыл бұрын
Yeah when you posted this comment you could get a decent Evolution for about £12,000 with low miles. Fast forward to 2022 you can get a decent Pajero Evolution with low miles for about £35,000 - £40,000.

@@RUX70N It's insane how much prices have gone up, particularly in the JDM market. There are very few cars that have remained bargains. Having said that I spoke to a guy who owned an incredibly rare Mitsubishi 3000 GT SL Spyder, he had the car advertised for months & eventually sold it for 5k. He took a massive hit on that car.
@RUX70N2 жыл бұрын
@@Zerofightervi I know what you mean, hindsight is a great thing. Sold my Subaru WRX STI type r for buttons over 10 year ago now they are worth silly money. like you say same with the 3000 gt they are starting to creep up and the 300zx. You could pick decent examples of these for nothing a few years back. Was offered a 22b from a work mate for around 20k about 12 years ago now, but it would have meant taking out a loan so I knocked it back, would have been better than money in the bank. 😩
@Zerofightervi2 жыл бұрын
@@RUX70N I sold my Evo IV about 10 years ago, really good condition & near standard condition too. £3500, these days I see IVs up around 12k for ones in worse condition than mine. There's a bloke around my way who has a Skyline R33 N1 spec, like a Evo RS or STI RA. Worth a fortune now. I always knew these cars would eventually go up in value but not to this extent. R34 GT-Rs are 6 figures!

Wouldn't you want a softer suspension for off-road for improved articulation and a stiff suspension for controlling body roll.
@nonope17744 жыл бұрын
I guess the idea is that when its loaded for off road travel you will want a stiffer shock to control body roll. I honestly doubt it has the 25 yr old adjustable shocks, Mine doesn't. Great rig.

@@dontstopwhenuaretiredstopw3265 Reliability is a matter of opinion. Mercedes trucks like the Unimog are used in Siberia or other very harsh climates without a problem. The working division of the G class is equally as good off road and reliable as a Land cruiser or anything else. The parts may be more expensive to get but that has nothing to do with the vehicle's reliability
