I bought the same exact fridge as well, mainly because of a 10 day Moab trip I just got backfrom and didn't want to have to deal with cooler and ice in the desert. And with only being able to get out so often I didn't want to spend $1,000 on a fridge. Absolutely love it. Ran 24/7 the whole time and never skipped a beat, even during times when I had the truck at some pretty extreme angles. Nothing like being in that desert heat and popping open an ice cold water to quench your thirst haha.

So far I’ve been really happy with mine. I ended up getting the dual zone to test out so that subscribers could see the difference but so far I haven’t 100% seen the need to upgrade. I haven’t used it for more than a day yet though. I need to end up picking one and wiring it to my vehicle or solar or something soon. I can go about 3days without draining my powerbank. How do you have yours wired that you got 10 days?
@baloghlcb3 жыл бұрын
@@OXFOOT Sorry I wasn't clear on that part, the most I probably would've gotten was 3 days as well running it off my 500 watt powerbank. The only time I had it solely running off of that was at night time. Day time I was doing a lot of driving on trails pretty much every day so it was just running on the 12 volt pass through and kept the powerbank fully charged. Although if I ever wanted to I could easily run a third battery in the bed to run it back there since I already have power cables running to the back.

I just got the Setpower RV45 fridge. It's been great. I ran it for 96 hours straight to test in the hot garage (mid 80s average) with a Bluetti 240 on DC and only consumed 60%. Super efficient. The temp fluctuates 2-3 degrees up or down from its set temp. Mine was set at 32 and it never got higher than 34. Super happy with my purchase.

It has power, the fan is working and the temp controls and everything seem to work but it won’t cool, there are no error codes! I’m thinking the compressor died so we’ll see what they do and go from there. Seriously I was totally happy till the failure.. I’m wondering if it’s just a loose wire inside as I’ve seen that sort of thing with a lot of electronics, vibration is a funny thing. Well 28bottles of wine is something a caterer would use at an outdoor banquet or picnic or wedding. Cool machine but I wanted to recommend the machine I use. There is a company in Canada outside of Toronto that also has its US office in Buffalo that is called Koolatron. They make 12v power coolers/heaters. It only contains I moving part, no compressor, nor motor. Just a cooling block and a motor. The way it works is with a reverse polarity plug. So in one lets say +/- it will heat the interior space of the cooler 40degrees above ambient temperature. Reverse the plug, -/+ and it will lower the cooler cabin about 40deg below ambient temperature. I used this when I drove big rigs over the road. I d go to Walmart and buy dairy or other perishables and keep them in that cooler. It plugs right into the cigaretter lighter/power port. And you can also buy a home 120v plug adapter for it. The one I had was the 37 Liter one. Thats about $200. They make smaller and bigger ones. Last year I replaced the motor. Its real simple repairs. The only drawback is they use Roberson #4 screws and most Americans use Phillips #2 head screws.(Interesting history on Roberson and Phillips and how Henry Ford was the determining factor with ones success and not the other). Check them out Koolatron USA is their name.
@broncomcbane63823 жыл бұрын
The way I used it in my truck was that since the cab had AC the vent wound up blowing cold air right into the air intake. So if the cabin in around 66deg, the cooler would chill my OJ and yougurt and all that stuff down to 20. Its not good enough for ice cream because in order to do that the incoming air has to be cold first to facilitate the huge temp drop. But otherwise...if you are going to store milk or cold cuts, hotdogs, etc it will work.
@OXFOOT3 жыл бұрын

@@OXFOOT i have dual batteries in my Suburban. It was actually single battery when I got it but I found a GMC K2500 diesel pickup with the battery tray on the other side of the engine bay. I took that and the battery cables. I had to reroute the fuel vapor canister to the Left fender to install the tray. Then I wired my batteries Parallel. + To + terminals and - to the block on one side snd - to the block on the other side. It doubles your reserve capacity and lower your crank amps since the car is drawing from both battery equally(assuming you have the exact same battery on both sides) . Now if you are going to run an AGM battery it will be a bit different.

It’s not like a cooler but it’s got enough structure to be decently insulated. I can leave it for a few hours without the temp changing too much. They make insulation covers that go on top of it and I’m considering getting that for mine.

Yeah I was going to say I don’t love the slide. If it was in a truck it would be great but in the same cab it was annoying.
