But it so stupid that the Americans` allow this to happen... the stats state that proper gun control will reduce the amount of gun related deaths... They think more guns will stop this... arm the teachers, arm everyone, a good person with a gun will beat a bad person with a gun, its an oxymoron... good people will not want to use the gun, maybe hesitate a little when it comes to actually having to use them, leaving the bad person, who is on a rampage, another soft target!!

***** C'mon man, get out of your bubble and get a grip. From your profile you're clearly a biased gun fan. I'm neither, I just hear news stories of people getting massacred, and I realise it's appalling and should not be happening. The fact remains that guns are legal, and any nutter can wield them. Here's a statistic of my own, even if 99% of people who own guns in America don't kill people, it only takes that 1% to compromise their reputation.

The Sharmanic Nucleus It was a rather misinformed comment. It probably should have said he speaks 'some sense', given people immediately associate him as being a total cunt. I don't support him at all actually, I agree with the first commenter and I found his comment to the interviewer about what he knew of football success utterly immature and pompous, which is what he probably is, even though he speaks... Some sense. Got me? ;)

***** I actually agree with the use of firearms for one's family protection at home specially. " The gun is an instrument not a cause (...) " You haven't said it directly but I'm assuming you are in favor of background checks right? Because we issue licences to drive and we avoid our children to use knives as well. Besides a car's main use is for transportation and a gun's main use is to shoot something or someone so there's an implicid intention when using one.
@danielt.85739 жыл бұрын
***** That's indeed a good positive story and it actually illustrates what I think is the best solution of all: " The driver had a concealed-carry permit and acted in the defense of himself and others ". How did that first crazyman got a gun in the first place? Also there's the how did the driver [fortunately] got his permit? I'll finish by mentioning that the second amendment says " the right of people to keep and bear arms " but there's a clear distinction between people and crazy people that clearly aren't in the same category and the amendment doesn't discriminate wich is wich. Background checks seem to be a fair well-ballanced solution for all without infringing the second amendment.
