You are doing a great job cuz spreading knowledge will save the world! I will donate for you when I will graduate and have money :) Just keep doing it please because probably it's the best Chanel on biological topics in youtube and you inspire so many people including myself :)

Thanks for your excellent videos. Can you very kindly clarify the following. Can dietary fat only be burnt by mitochondria if it has first been ‘processed through’ fat cells and released as FFA? Or can mitochondria also burn dietary fat that hasn’t come from a fat cell? Thanks for any comments.

@sopmd5413 жыл бұрын
hello! can someone help me please? Idk how to answer this give "alpha ketoglutarate to malate". this is the instructions: Please answer and show the detailed solution to your final answer. Please show the pathway/s that is/are involved OR the reaction/s that show/s where energy (by substrate-level phosphorylation) or potential energy via oxidative phosphorylation is/are derived. Huhuhu I really don't have any idea on how to start this huhu please help

A 20 carbon FA will yield 10 molecules of acetyl-CoA. To produce 10 acetyl-CoA, this fatty acid will require 9 passes of oxidation. Why? shouldn't it be 10 passes?
@GatetoEmpower7 жыл бұрын
it should be 9, because at 9th round, 4 carbon compound breaks into two 2-carbon compounds(acetyl CoA). so no need to take 10th round for further breakdown. ( remaining molecule is already 2-carbon acetyl CoA)
