Oxymoron "Original Cadisen"! Review of the Aqua Diver - Perth WAtch

hey Ivan. it is Alex again. ha ha. Cadisen has been taking a back seat for last a couple of years. San Martin, Pagani, Heimdallr, Addisdive, Watchdiver, Seestern, Sugess...etc. then after few other names, Cadisen will come up. Actually, I like this watch. Decent design & good price. But as you said, it falls short on the clasp and push pin & some strange color choices. And as for Aqua Diver name, I don't think the buyers would mind, if they are choosing this type of watches. As you know, Chinese watches are really making fast improvements and I would say that there are few brands that I can consider them as real & legit "micro brands". Unfortunately, it seems like Cadisen got stuck in "Pre-Covid" time. And they got a lot of catching up to do. Good to see you again, Ivan and thanks for the review.

Thanks Alex - haha there’s a brand called “Watchdiver”!? That I gotta check out! By “legit micro brand”, do you mean those who have some originality in design?

@@PerthWAtch sorry. the brand is called Watchdive not diver. yes. it is coming up very fast and very affordable and solidly made. But can not call microbrand yet. San Martin can be now called a microbrand. they now have a legit microbrand item. Thanks. Ivan

Did you measure the lug to lug at 47? I'm seeing some sources list 48 and others 47. Or maybe it's just a rounding error.

I think it was 47.2mm if you want the 3rd significant figure

@@PerthWAtch Interesting category, so there are watches specifically made for snorkeling, kinda limiting genre to be in. I mean, if you are already at sea or any body of water, a "Diver's" watch is still reassuring. Even through the rating is never really pushed to its actual rating in real world use.

It'll do what 99.99999% of people need it to do in the water and isn't a sub "homage" at a reasonable price. Some of my watches have no lume at all and others have it I rarely find it makes any difference. If you want to try a diver to see if it's right for you it's hard to see where you can go wrong with this.
