love recipe I myself would one mix the yeast sugar and water in big bowl ( the main bowl you will mix the bread dough ) =reason i hate dishes lol ... and I find feeding my yeast with sugar helps me make better product . let sit till yeast proofs meanwhile mix the flour salt oil etc in another bowl slowly incorporate flour into proofed yeast then after rolling up and sealing dough i would take and dip my finger tip make dough slightly damp and pinch seal it .. just like one would do with homemade pie crust I Was taught this by my granny I am one who ends up having trouble with my pie crust at times tearing so the water trick really helps !

Hi Ozark family My husband and I are attempting to make this meal of the homemade French bread and the lasagna soup I'm trying to make a half batch of the lasagna soup so I'm hoping it turns out because I know even a half batch will be eating leftovers for quite a while with it and then with the French bread I'm planning on making a hole recipe and then freezing some of it like you said because we'll never be able to eat a whole loaf let alone too in one sitting. We really enjoy watching you and think your kids are very well-mannered and helpful and it's refreshing because they seem to not have the attitude that most kids their age have today so I hope you guys are having a good day and hopefully Sean is feeling better from his kidney stones Love from Monica and Heath

I mix and knead all of my breads with my hands and without the aid of mixer or bread machine. I love hand kneading as it is so therapeutic to me. I make regular bread, Italian bread and sourdough but I have never made French. Some days, I literally mix the dry and wet ingredients with my bare hands and other days I use a wooden spoon.

Thank you for walking us through that! You asked for content ideas and after watching a Day in the Life, I was wondering if we could see the milking process with Daisy? Thanks for the idea, Wandee!! I'll definitely write that down on my list of future video possibilities. You may just be onto something! You said there is living space above the summer kitchen and I would bet there would be lots of people that would pay to stay for a few days. Lots of people love gardening, working outside and working with animals but just don't have the time to do it full time. Also, I bet there are lots of people that would like to start the homesteading lifestyle and would love to learn the ropes from a family like yours and of course all of this would provide you with not only money but a lot of YT content. It would be like a homesteading "dude ranch"! I know I would pay to come for a week just to experience another side of life that I would never normally experience in my life. Just some food for thought!
