Homemade PIZZA for our LARGE FAMILY!

If you want to see happy children, then tell them you're having homemade pizza for supper! My seven children LOVE this pizza and I hope you do too. Our made-from-scratch pizza crust and pizza sauce are quick, easy, delicious, and our family thinks you'll love them! In this video, I show you how we make our own pizza dough that's super easy. QUICK & EASY HOMEMADE PIZZA DOUGH! (for 1 crust)
2-1/4 tsp. (1 packet) of active dry yeast
1 tsp. white sugar
1 cup warm water (around 110 degrees F or 45 degrees C)
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. salt
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm water. Set aside and let stand about 10 minutes or until creamy.
After 10 minutes have passed, stir flour, salt, and oil into the yeast mixture. Beat until smooth and then let dough rest for about 5 minutes.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and roll into a round shape that is lightly floured on all sides. Transfer crust to a lightly greased pizza pan.
Spread dough out as much as you can then let rest for a few minutes. Come back and it should continue spreading to cover the entire cookie sheet/pizza pan.
Prick dough with a fork, then bake for 5 minutes to slightly pre-cook the crust. Remove dough from oven.
Add pizza sauce, your favorite toppings, and shredded cheese. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. (We like to alternate cooking racks halfway through the cooking time.)

EASY HOMEMADE PIZZA SAUCE! (enough for 1 cookie sheet pizza)
Combine these ingredients, then spread a thin layer on your pizza dough:
8 oz. tomato sauce
1 tsp. minced garlic (fresh or dried)
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried basil

Oh, Sarah is as healthy as can be! Several years ago she chose to stop eating refined sugar and almost all refined flour (there are a few exceptions though). She says she just feels better when she avoids those things. I do appreciate you being concerned about her though! :)

I loved the pizza making video. I have made homemade pizza for years. in fact last year we made pizza for thanksgiving. our family does not like turkey, so we usually make something other than thanksgiving themed food. this year we are making mexican food.

Janice, I truly love seeing a busy kitchen as that’s how it was growing up seeing my Polish grandmother in her kitchen with all of the girls doing one thing or another. And the day you show this extremely delicious pizza recipe in the making, my son made us homemade venison meatballs with rice and oops forgot a veggie although he considers diced onions and mushrooms good enough, although I’ve been craving leafy green veggies for so long now I’m literally begging for either some fresh spinach or kale. Anyway, Janice again, superb content and enjoyed the part where the entire family was gathered in the living room with their pizzas to watch a movie together.
