THIS is how you have a conversation about medical issues! They were respectful to one another, questioned one another respectfully, no rude interrupting or being overly emotional because one person wasn't able to dominate the conversation. I want to understand and this is helpful.

Im 62 and I had to beg my doctor to give me ozempic, I am on the lowest dose I have high blood sugar type 2. I also find it hard to lose weight because of my back injuries, had three level fusion and a total knee replacement. But I am working with strengthening my muscles with band resistance. Thank you for all your important information, it really helped me. Thank you so much again. I am one week in. And I already lost 10lbs... Can't wait to see where this goes....

Be prepared for stalled weight loss. Your not gonna keep losing 10 lb per week. Make sure to eat protein so you don't lose all of the muscle you have left at 62..

Ten lbs in one week IS NOT healthy. I am on Mounjaro duemto being type 2 diabetic and I'm happy with 10 lbs lost so far in about two months of using it. If I exercised I could've lost more.

Dr. Tyna is the one that made me feel comfortable trying tirzepatide, and I appreciate her research so much! As a woman at 42 years old with a long history of hashimotos (diagnosed at 8 years old), it's been great for inflammation and brain fog so far. I'm also very muscular, but this extra fat since my age changes is horrible.

Dr. Tynan is amazing. I love her podcast, and bringing her to mind up is the perfect fit. This is a must-see episode for anyone on or thinking about going on glp1. I've been on mounjaro for 21 months and lost 185 lbs with 5 days of strength training n 45-minute daily walk. I was 480 lbs and currently at 295 lbs. Mounjaro has helped remove my joint pain and help heal my heart. I'm no longer taking blood pressure medication. My brain fog is gone. I feel like my brain is functioning, like when I was in my 20s. My A1C went from 6.9 to 5.1. All my blood tests are normal. Getting my health back, I also discovered my testosterone was 250 and now on trt. I feel amazing and blessed.

Compounded glp-1 semaglutide reversed anything negative for me. Everything you have mentioned I concur. It reversed Weight struggles yo-yo, severe memory loss, brain function improvement, mental health, obsessive thoughts about anything addictive including alcohol (,alcohol free since 2019), on-line shopping (,i was totally out of control), my real estate career is back on track and it saved me during a really rough menopause. I'm a different person. My body composition is also so different than past weight loss. Also, I've been self-dosing semaglutide only as needed.....micro dosing since August 2022 and my mindset is completely changed for the better. I am in the driver's seat. Semaglutide Compounded is a miracle. It's my way of being in control of my hormones.

Brenda, I am also educated in dietetics. I'm curious what your thoughts are on whether the standard American diet (no need to chew) could contribute to low GLP-1? My hypothesis is that chewing, or proper biomechanics of chewing and swallowing, stimulates release of GLP-1.

Love all the information! I’m in Canada, I’m 45 yrs old going through perimenopause. I’m overall fit, strength training 5 days a week and eat a high protein diet. How would someone like me get this peptide? I’m not obese, don’t have diabetes. If I asked my doctor to be micro dosed she’s think I was crazy. Is there a way for someone who is healthy but wants to be healthier to get trizepitide? Please help a Canadian girl out 🙏🏻

@juju-july

I'm not sure if it works the same in Canada but here your best bet is to find a Dr or health care provider that is able to prescribe meds but is also independent of medical conglomerates, which here typically means you pay up front and health insurance is little to no help Then the prescription is taken to a compounding pharmacy, which means they prepare the medication in house customized to your specific needs!

I am in Canada, and we can buy it from Canadian stores. Biosynergen peptides and Cantides research peptides sell for research purposes. I am trying a low dose to reduce inflammation. So far it’s working and I lost weight too. Though I wasn’t looking to lose any weight. We have to pay for it ourselves.

I have always been a non meat/ fish/ chicken/ just carbs and cheese mainly...sad to say, but once I got your info of more protein and less processed, and little "time wise" workouts, but more often. Now I am seeing results, but I also had some current health issues, just before I discovered you guys. Now I'm on a much better path. I think she is referring to LADA which is a type of type one diabetes (also auto immune) that happens gradually over time. I was on it and it worked WONDERS I went from a 12.7 A1C to 6.5% and I was on the smallest dose. I wish I could have followed through with increasing dose but my dr. Said if I want to get pregnant I can’t be on anything but metformin and insulin 😢

I’m SO confused and “annoyed” /frustrated with all this! From everything I’m hearing…sounds like we would all significantly benefit from these peptides. I know I would for so many reason - but how to we afford this - if we can’t get a subscription? It’s so hard to hear all the benefits of cycling this into a healthy lifestyle- but frustrating that it’s so out of reach.

I totally agree with the thought of muscle marbling and water. I've been pre diabetic with high blood pressure for over a decade and went pure carnivore. Now, I was a PT and weight trained 15 years ago. Being on carnivore and weight training for 3 and half months I've lost 55 lbs. 20 of it was muscle and the rest was fat! But my strength has increased and my blood pressure has went back to normal. I am very interested in ozempic but I've always wanted to do things "naturally". Very interesting podcast. I would love to be a guinea pig for the small doses Dr. Tyna is exploring!

I would love to see some studies not only about GLP1 deficiency but GLP1 excess! I really believe this is a thing. I’m so thankful for the invention of these GLP1’s because finally people understand how I feel. I am never hungry. No hunger and no thirst. I get so full on half a sandwich that I can’t finish it. I also suffer from a lot of nausea for absolutely no reason. Although I’ll never have a weight problem I’m constantly fatigued. Hearing Adam’s experience with the GLP1 was exactly how I feel every day. It leaves me wondering if they could use my DNA to make stem cells for transplant into those with deficiencies. I always feel so bad for people who can’t stop eating. So many struggle with this and I have zero interest in food. Take my peptides!!! lol

I'm having trouble figuring out how to get prescribed for the plethora of "off label" uses, as most doctors see a "normal weight" individual with history of eating disorders as an undesirable candidate, failing to see the vast nuance.🙄 Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't hear anyone talking about how they are obtaining these GLP-1s so easily.

Find a health professional that believes in these types of meds. It is similar to a man who sees a traditional dr who says 400 testosterone is “normal”.

@@meredithhoward3733 best of luck. I have lost a ton of bad weight and added a ton of good weight and these meds are a god send. I went from 40% body fat in May 2023 to 13.5% June 2024. I began lifting and it is now my life. Everything this podcast speaks to rings true to me.

Dr Tyna is gangster. I discovered her during covid, she was one of the few sane and rational voices in regards to the hype around the vaccine, which hindsight has shown she was correct in her position. Love this crossover, great conversation and very informative!

Loved this, but can’t seem to find the answer to what “micro dosing” means? Can someone share actual dosages and would this mean daily droplet intake or still weekly?

In another interview she talked about starting at .1 and only going up to .25 But please don't rely on me! Check out her website. I think there's more info there.

@yensounta6501 I'm not qualified to give medical advice... just passing on what I remember her saying in passing. She also mentioned having a protocol available on her website. I haven't checked that out, but even if it I have to buy the info from her, I think having her expertise is worth it.

So it sounds like this could help with the ails of menopause but I don’t understand how to try micro dosing. I do not need to lose weight (although if I gain just a little it becomes the “thick”, which I hate )and goes only to belly, and cannot afford the cost if not covered by insurance. And no doc would prescribe for me for weight loss because I am relatively lean. But based on your conversation I am doubting compounding pharmacies. can u be more clear on what to say to a doctor as far as microdosing? I have some gut issues and the brain implications are fascinating but how does the normal, unconnected person proceed to test all the premises discussed here

Very interesting. I recently read that carbs inhibit GLP1 production and protein (not specific which) improves it. Assuming that is corrects, could it be a reson why some people have good health results on a Keto diet aside of weight loss? It is generally important to really understand what is going on with these peptides and especially why many people are deficient in the first place. A save guess is likely a lack of exercise and shitty nutrition. But what exactly is bad for your health and why seems to still be open, right? Personally, I have some skin issues that have been really persistent and I'd be curious to try GLP1s, but it's only covered by insurance for diabetics and under strict rules. so I'd likely have to pay myself and I dont even know which one I'd need and how much.

Additionaly, the ideal conclusion would be to figure out how to fix these issues naturally or prevent them in the first place. I guess it might come back to the classics: Exercise, healthy nutrition (what exactly is healthy?), sunlight, sleep, stress

PS: lol no as someone who lost 190 pounds and counting, I am not doing smear job of pharma. I turned down bariatric surg. I turned down ozempic. I turned down meal replacements. Watched my mom get stroke at 59 and pass away in front of me, now watching dad do the same. They wont change what they eat or move at all. You know, maybe I'll encourage dad to take ozempic. He gave up on himself so I should give up on him changing too at 68, and just let him have that shortcut.

As always why keep people in the dark as to what a general starting micro dose could be and how one safely cycles . We need to have this info to be able to present this to our doctors or they just look at us with huh?
