Never understood the hate on Dr Drew. He’s not Dr Phil. He’s a well rounded and very knowledgeable actively practicing physician. Remember the doctor shortage during Covid? Dr Drew was one of the few who worked in the hospitals to fill in hospital doc’s. They couldn’t find enough doctors who actually had the skill set to work in a hospital setting. Young Doctors these days are VERY specialized. They can let just walk into an ER and treat people bc they don’t know how. Dr drew does. But yeah he’s not a real doctor….

The fact that DR Drew just admitted he's doing V shred , is exactly why as a patient , you shouldn't think everything your doctor says is 100% accurate. They're humans too and that means they can be lazy to do their homework on things they know little about . For those of you that don't know V shred is the laughing stock of the fitness industry as he preys upon the desperate and lazy. And the real professionals in the industry literally debunk this dude all the time.

Re: Sal’s audible sigh after Dr. Drew quoted Dr. Peter Attia vigorous exercise’ is crucial to longevity. Sal has mentioned before on previous pods that the older he gets, the more he thinks about death. I obviously do not know him personally but it seems he has an, for lack of a better word, aversion, to exercise. I just find it interesting for someone who is thinking about death more is not doing something that can improve your overall health markers. He’s obviously a busy guy but making time for just a one hour workout a day can help immensely. Even just a walk around the block, up and down some stairs, or a free video from KZbin.

I understand you gotta let your doctor doctor, but to say that you shouldn't go into any appointment thinking you're going to educate them on anything that they've known since 2nd year med school is wild. Especially in a time when so much trust has been lost and so many people are more interested in natural alternatives. These doctors are pill pushers, for the most part. I realize there are some good ones, but YOU are your own health advocate and are RESPONSIBLE for your own health. I've shopped around for a good doctor over the last few years. Unfortunately my healthcare comes from the VA. These people barely pick their eyes up from the computer.
