Nah, that's an automatic tuner thing he has on his guitar I'm pretty sure, he's not tuning that himself. It's like a locking tuner that automatically tunes his guitar down to drop D tuning. Miguel isn't that skilled of a guitarist lol You can clearly tell if you watch and listen that his guitar is setup to do that. He is a professional guitarist, they have certain luxuries most guitarists don't have when they have highly skilled techs working on their guitars.

If you want to start from the very beginning do it with Siouxsie And The Banshees, if that awakens your interest continue with Joy Division and then with The Cure and the rest you will discover it yourself.
