Yes and no? I recall as a kid jumping from "high" heights but revisiting those locations as and adult it revealed that the spots I leapt from weren't really as high as I thought. Also, as a kid, if I'd get a stitch-worthy cut I'd be a bit freaked like it's the end of the world and later I'd have a cool story and battle damage. These days, I can take a lot more pain, I can write off smaller injuries that mommy doesn't have to kiss better and I also feel a bit embarrassed for being a dumb idiot so I generally don't tell anyone about my accidentally self-inflicted injuries because its really not a cool story lol. Size matters. But so does age and experience - that is to say, is your aged body in good enough order to take the hit and can your experience in taking hits mitigate some of the impact or possible injuries?

That first one, where dude comes outside to the sewer eruption, is like "yeah, nah - screw this" is so spot on!! A version of the slippery driveway happened to my girlfriend with the steps to my house. I was locking up and she flew down the steps on her back.
