While everyone is talking about the video of the cow playing football with some boys, locals shared the true story behind all this. As much as it was amusing for the neutrals, the locals have a different theory as to why the cow always protects the football. Incidentally, the cow's defending skills were praised on social media, it has been pointed out that for the animal, football reminds her of her lost calf. This stray cow had given birth to a calf recently and in a tragic accident, the calf was hit on the road around a week ago and succumbed to the injuries sustained. The cow is disturbed by this and is seen roaming around Marol (place's name) Temple area. According to the locals, the cow is treating the football as her calf and while it may appear that she is playing, in reality, she doesn't allow anyone to take the ball and chases the boys who take it from her. They say this is how she's keeping the football safe and that the way she acts with the ball is similar to the way a cow would act with her new born calf.

if we look closely, the cow is actually protecting the ball and not passing it around.The cow had recently lost her newborn calf. It was hit by a vehicle on the road a few days back (says locals of Mardol)and the calf eventually succumbed to its injuries.The presumed ‘defending skill’ of the cow turned out to be that the cow trying to protect the football and keep it safe. The ball reminded her of her calf and her motherly instinct made her treat the ball the same way she would treat her newborn calf.
