Birmingham isn't a rundown industrial city, I lived there when Ozzie did and it was a great urban centre with commerce, retail and all kinds of culture, of course, there was industry outside of the city, like most cities. I don't know what he's said about not being able to afford stuff, but his parents were both working and in those days, would have been able to clothe their kids adequately. My parents managed to raise 12 kids with just my father working and my mom home taking care of us. Having said that, he certainly did make a lot of money and have a far different lifestyle than how he grew up.

I'm one of the biggest Ozzy fans there is. But, deserve it??? I don't think so. There's many of us who have lived a hard life. Many people out there who have lived a poor childhood. And we don't have millions of dollars. Just because he has survived drug abuse doesn't mean he's entitled to a good life. There's many people out there who have had a much harder life than Ozzy. Who remain broke and struggling. Think before you speak.
