@@violentJJ2112 I mean Randy and Zakk are great………..I mean, yeah, you know, they’re great….. But…. The guitar playing on the Ultimate sin album….. It’s uh…it’s unbelievable. He’s uh…he was a major influence on Warren Demartini’s guitar playing, like they were roommates and they both transferred their own skills to each other… So without Jake E. Lee, there would be no ‘RATT’. There would be a band called ‘RATT’, but there would not be ‘RATT’. Jake is one of the top, top, top, greatest 1980s heavy metal guitarists on par with George Lynch. And Jake didn’t sell himself out. To this day, Jake dedicates himself to his guitar playing. He doesn’t care about the money. Jake E. Lee is a TRUE. Musician. A professional. A genius. He dissected guitar tone all the way down to the orientation of the pickups. He loved Jimi Hendrix’ tone, and concluded that Jimi played upside down, so the pickups were slanted backwards, and thus Jake determined that he could get more bite/sharpness out of the ‘EAD’ strings, and more thickness from the ‘GBE’ strings, if he had his pickups slanted the way Jimi’s were. He had smaller hands, so to make up for not being able to reach as far of frets as Warren, Jake said, “I’ll just use my thumb”. Same with his bending the neck to mimic a whammy bar. He didn’t want a bar because he didn’t like the tone.

@@Eddie-In-Las-Vegas it's all about the money corp. profits, advertising profits etc.. The audience for the era of real Rock N Roll are either dead or aging out of the targeted ages to sell new music to. That's why modern music sucks , is so shitty and virtually has NO integrity - and they certainly don't make the money like they did then :dollar for dollar w/inflation taken into account. A new rock band now, makes a fraction of what the Classic bands made. Also, it's so easy to "create" this bullshit new music now (stupid computer/digital crap, pre-constructed beats and infant level "songwriting" , auto tuner etc..). Me too, me too. Why people gotta hate on Ozzy baby? I saw an interview where Ozzy said that Randy really helped him. He was patient. John had bad self esteem issues (still does). The Sab's (mostly Tony) would not give him the time of day to express his creative talent. Who knows, if Tony wasn't such a bully....? You know, Tony used to beat the shit out of Ozzy in school. One of the main reasons Tony even ok'd Ozzy for the band was because Ozzy had a PA. Ozzy knew that having a PA was going to be a huge factor in being picked, for any band. That is genius right there.

This is one of my personal favorites. JEL is laying down a dynamite freight train load of lead rhythm filled with blistering colour throughout.
