Too bad management got in the way. The band was never the same after Randy, and the albums got really spotty after the third. I prefer Dio era Sabbath and his solo work better in general, but if the ‘Blizzard of Ozz’ band continued for a few more albums they easily would have been equals.

That's funny you say that. When I was 11 in 1981, I got THREE (!!) Diary of a Madman Records for my Birthday lol So, my Mom drove me down to Wherehouse Records in San Jose where I kept one copy, traded the second copy for Blizzard of Ozz and the third copy I traded for that rare ( at the time ) Mr. Crowley picture disc with "You Said it All" on Side 2 I still have to this day ♫

I love how Randy switches from the beautiful acoustic guitar in the verses to the kick-ass riff in the chorus, and then Don Airey's keyboards bridge the song's two parts. A great production from Max Norman and the most incredible studio band of the '80s in Lee Kerslake, Bob Daisley, Airey, and Rhoads.

Two of heavy metals biggest losses. The metal and hard rock movement and industry would've flourished so much harder with just the sound and riffs of THOSE TWO still being around. The music they would've composed and then heard by us all would have been otherworldly and so absolutely phenomenal. It sickens me everyday to think about what It would've sounded like. Just imagine what Ozzy, James, Lars, and Kirk deal with on a daily basis of what mightve been. The 2 biggest losses of heavy metal history for sure and a prodigious and huge void that will never be filled. RIP Randy Rhoads and Cliff Burton. Here's an extra kicker for you. Imagine if the 2 would have lived and met down the road and ended up cutting an instrumental track together and the magnificently magic metal sound that would've emanated out of a once in a lifetime meeting such as that. The thought of it literally sends chills up my spine!
