Unless he's a boxer or something, move out of the way. I've seen enough fail videos to check myself accordingly and be aware of my surroundings. People completely miss and hit the machine, breaking their hand. Or they miss and hit whatever doofus is standing.right.there. my son is pretty athletic, football, soccer, weight training. But he doesn't punch. We got him a punching bag and every one of us had an epic fail first punch in some way, mine was lame, dad almost rocked it off the chain, son 1 missed and hit it with his arm and 2nd son racked his knuckles. And we all stood back when the next person went cuz we were throwing punches. Stuff happens. Get your face out of the way. He did at least show concern, and checked her, while side-eyein that score😂

It looked to me like there's a whole in the roof where the water is hitting it. It's hard to tell because the water is in the way, but if so, that whole house may be just completely ruined... Every bit of carpet and insulation will have to be pulled out and any non treated wood replaced. Might as well just tear it down and start over, lol

Here on Long Island, in the U.S. we use to call those "thongs" here as well (back in the 70s). Then, suddenly, one day those were flip-flops (for the sound they made as you walked), and thongs were ladies lingerie. A couple of blinks later and men were wearing them, too. I will never understand modern fashion. Although, I must say that (in some circumstances) I do enjoy watching ladies wearing micro bikinis.

I would include the utility company in and amongst those I blame and sue as the home-owner ***AND*** the insurance companies of all involved. They ***could*** have mitigated the ongoing damage. The fact that they did not is gross negligence. It was water, not fire. Not "toxic waste". It was water. High pressure water ***can*** be mitigated with only a modicum of ability. A 1/2" - 1" road plate used for repairs impinging on the flow at even a slight angle could have almost completely eliminated the full-force damage to the structure. Easily done with even a small front-end loader and the chains used to manipulate the thing in everyday usage for common road work. Inexcusable.
