I had one...walking around the cold slate kitchen floor in the dark, because you think you know your own house. You go to the fridge for water, not knowing that one of the cats chucked a sickie on the kitchen floor. Your heel lands right in it, and as you slip, your toe catches on the edge of the stone tile. .... no shoes for me for a while. ...at least it was summer. No one over 35 and 5' tall should ever think they can slip and slide ever again

Ok since we're sharing stories, I broke mine twice.. Once kicking a wheelie-bin after my gf left me (I really thought they were a bit softer), and once walking down some stairs and trying to kick a ball at the bottom of them and kicking the floor instead.. Good times. Not. :p Why are the majority of causes of toe breakages absolutely pathetic? :p

Mine was a lot worse after dropping weight on it at the gym, ring toe not the middle one. Poor thing was like "watch out Mr. President" and saved the rest of them. One toe over and you probably wouldn't need a boot, never even got mine looked at.

When will people realize that when you’re the camera man that its your job to record the beginning, middle, and end. Its up to the other blokes to make sure the injured person or catastrophe is being managed. The camera man is there to document so you can reflect later on how to improve. Lol

Clearly when there's a fire you're supposed to stop drop and roll, use an extinguisher or run for the closest exit, *unless you're the cameraman. In that case you keep filming until its over or you're charred and crispy.

@@thehumanity0 No no no. Someone else is supposed to either A. Take the camera and continue recording while that person stops, drops, and rolls. Or B. Continue to record while someone else uses the extinguisher on the cameraman. Ideally while they get multiple camera angles that they can roll into top-tier B-Roll at a later time. This is why it is critical to always have a back up person that is also recording so when camera man 1 goes down they take over OR and more commonly they work to protect said camera person in exigent circumstances. Or at least until this becomes normal social etiquette and anyone can help and camera men are seen as protective persons.

I have never ever broken a single bone in my body. It's not that I avoid situations that increase the potential for broken bones. I don't. I have surprisingly strong bones. i used to get them a lot at night if i worked outside and sweated a lot and didn't hydrate well enough which is easy to do in florida found out grape juice and raisins are good sources of potassium better than gatorade per ounce haven't had any more leg cramps unless i overwork i still get them occasionally in my hands

Ugh. That toe looks painful. I had a broken 4th toe once that looked just like yours. I had a vintage Kirby vacuum with a solid metal body. I had to get up in the middle of the night to put the cat in the spare bedroom (because it decided 3 am was playtime) and I ran right into the Kirby in the dark. Colorful words flowed.
