In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, players attend either the Naranja (Scarlet) or Uva (Violet) Academy, where they participate in an annual "Treasure Hunt" to explore the region and find something they treasure. Players encounter the legendary Pokémon Koraidon or Miraidon, who joins them as a partner despite losing their ability to battle.
