Oh my God, the model aircraft that I love the most and that I am building myself as the first fantastic and beautiful plane.

fantastic Sir...must have been plenty of long arduous hours...but a smile on your face each time you worked on her...

Some 800 hours, but to be honest my face was quite serious.Owed to the fact that I haven't flown twin engines before. But nonetheless everything was worth the time and effort put into this wonderfull lady, The smile is allways there thinking about flying it :-)

Very nice plane, very good flying...
@centerfloat9 жыл бұрын
That is truly correct.. I used DA 50 engines that do not come in counterclockwise rotation. When they turn you do not see the direction of turning anyway. The momentum that would make the plane more to the left was compensated by almost no offset of the engines. As you see that worked just fine 😊

lovely plane great landing

Really nice plane. Can you put an engine simulated sound card on it? This would make a world of difference I think! Anyway good job! I like it!

Good flight, nice plane, Mickey Mouse camera work....

Pretty arrogant comment. It was my 10year old nephew who filmed with an old camera of his father. Otherwise I would not have a film about this plane....

in your opinion do counter-rotating props really make a difference
@ToddBreda7 жыл бұрын
As a massive P-38 nerd I can say absolutely not. There is no discernible difference that I have experienced flying a P-38 both standard and CR. Torque was never an issue either way.
@trevor52906 жыл бұрын
I believe the one reason they did the CR props was because it made for a more stable gun platform... but as Todd stated, otherwise it don't mean crap. Would like to know from Todd if when he says his flying experience with the P-38... Is that full scale or RC
@RR678906 жыл бұрын
Counter rotating props have nothing to do with stability, or anything during flight.It only comes into play when loosing an engine. With engines that wide on the wing if the left engine quit and the right had standard rotation the thrust on the right wing plus the torque from the engine would make the aircraft uncontrollable. By rotating the opposite direction the torque helps counter the thrust.

WOW! Was für ein Traum...! Ich würde mir sowas von in die Hose machen beim Fliegen. Bleibt die große Maschine denn noch innerhalb der 25kg-Limits? Toll!
@centerfloat11 жыл бұрын

Will it still fly with one engine out?
@trevor52906 жыл бұрын
Not for long. But a good gyro might save it.
@martinstromeyer14675 жыл бұрын
@@trevor5290 Absolutely no save through gyro. I lost the plane throgh one side engine failure. It went immediately into a flat spin on the back. I was able to recove just before it hit the ground flat belly. The engine failur e was about 70 m above ground. So as emergency procedure there is only ONE WAY. Throttle idle both engines immediately and glide back to the ground after recovery.
@robrams4844 жыл бұрын
@@martinstromeyer1467 First of all, very nice job and wonderful airplane, congratulaciones. You are quite right best way to avoid an accident always go to minimum throttle and land as soon as possible.
