What actually happened was when this was in service it swallowed fiberglass from the projector and the force caused a crack that went unnoticed in siren con so when it was sounded again the force of it stopping all of a sudden because of the fiberglass cracked the chopper more and jammed on the motor ending the life of that p-50 for good

The whole reason why it was replaced in the first place. Though the first time, they were able to free it up. Now it's litterly welded onto the stator. It's done for. RIP.

@@Radiogirl1931 Ya. Unfortunately, while the motor still runs, the chopper is permanently welded onto the stator. A very large over 100 lb chopper running at 3450 RPM rubbing against the stator creates intense heat. You would have to get a whole new chopper and stator assembly. Which isn't impossible but still super tricky.

Rotator worked on Alert but the rotator didn’t wanna work anymore in Attack. But hey, it’s better than nothing

If I lived in a place where I needed these tornado sirens I’ll be super mad if it was this one even a ACA hurricane is better than this if I lived somewhere I would want it to be a electronic siren maybe a EOS 612 not sure if I’m correct but yeah there are much better electric mechanical sirens out there I would rather rely on
